METHODS OF IGNITING A FUEL SOURCE, LIGHTER FLUID COMPOSITIONS AND SELF-LIGHTING CHARCOAL BRIQUETTES
The present application provides charcoal briquettes infused with a flammable composition including fusel oil and/or one or more dehydration products of fusel oil and the flammable compositions including one or more dehydration products of fusel oil.
FIRE STARTER
A fire starter includes a casing made from a first material a first material having a first time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the casing burns after being ignited. A second material disposed in the casing has a second time associated therewith that defines a length of time that the second material burns after being ignited. An igniter, disposed in the casing and adjacent to the second material, generates a first thermal event to ignite the second material wherein the second material combusts to define a second thermal event that ignites the first material. An actuator is coupled to the igniter and is positioned outside of the casing for activating the igniter to generate the first thermal event.
COMBUSTIBLE LOG TORCH
A combustible log torch which can be ignited to provide heat for warmth or cooking, and light for illumination can be made by compacting a mixture of wood sawdust and a food grade binder. Such combustible log torches are convenient and safe to use and provide optimal characteristics of quickly providing a bonfire without the need for a fireplace or a fire pit. The fire produced by such combustible logs is also optimal for safely and conveniently cooking food items. Such a combustible log torch can be manufactured by a method which comprises compacting a composition which is comprised of a mixture of wood particles and a food grade binder under a pressure of at least about 5 psi (0.034 megapascals) in a mold to produce the combustible log torch having at least one vertical cavity (hole) which extend vertically through the entire length of the combustible log torch.
FIRE STARTER SYSTEM, METHOD OF USE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A fire starter device with a cloth or paper substrate, such as a herringbone cloth material, which is coated in a micro crystalline wax. Paraffin wax may also be added to the mixture in a small amount. The device is cut into strips which can be rolled or otherwise positioned to create a fire starter. The ends of the substrate may be left uncoated to promote lighting the ends with a fire source. An auto-starter element can be built into the fire starter near one of the ends. The substrate may be died or printed with a logo or other elements. The wax may be scented.
Methods of igniting a fuel source, lighter fluid compositions and self-lighting charcoal briquettes
The present application provides methods of igniting a fuel source with a lighter fluid composition including fusel oil; self-lighting charcoal briquettes infused with fusel oil, flammable compositions including fusel oil, methods of making flammable compositions including fusel oil, and lighter devices including fusel oil.
Multi-Purpose Putty
A multi-purpose putty product usable as a lamp fuel, first aid medication, water proofing agent, water sealant, and UV responsive marker is shown and described. The putty component may include waxes, oils, pine gum rosin, powdered metallic thermite fuel, and cotton fibers. Optionally, the putty may include a colorant and plant essential oil as an odorant. The putty may be provided in kit form, with a receptacle and closure, and a tool enabling putty product in the receptacle to be exposed and held erect for service as a wick while burning.
Flashwick firestarter
A firestarter formed from fibrous material and wax supports one or more logs thereon and is used to start a fire. The firestarter includes a body with an upper surface, a lower surface, a length dimension extending between a pair of opposing lateral sides, and a width dimension extending between a pair of opposing front and rear sides defining an periphery of the body. The body of the firestarter includes at least one aperture extending between the lower surface and the upper surface of the body and log supports configured to support at least one log. At least one air inlet is located on the lower surface and at least one flashwick channel extends inwardly from the periphery of the body along the lower surface connecting the air inlet and at least one aperture to define an air channel. It is contemplated that the firestarter may be bundled with logs in a kit for distribution.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPROCESSING ANIMAL BEDDING
A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance of said manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. Said bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, said bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.
Device and method for starting a fire
A fire kindling device and method having a wick and a coated fuel material strip. A user loosely rolls the coated fuel material strip into a spiraled cylindrical coil defining and creating a gap between radially spaced sections. The user places the spiraled cylindrical coil in an upright position, presses the wick into a centrally located apex point over the radius of the spiraled cylindrical coil and down the exterior side wall and then stacks combustible kindling material around the spiraled cylindrical coil. The wick is ignited, igniting the fire fuel causing the fire fuel to ignite the coated fuel material strip within the spiraled cylindrical coil, thereby causing a kindling fire. The sections are ignited nearly simultaneously, igniting the combustible kindling material. The fire fuel transforms into a combustible gas within the gap, augmenting combustion of the fire fuel, and increasing the temperature of the kindling fire.
