System and Method for Providing Directions Haptically
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for providing directions haptically such that sight and hearing can continue unimpeded. In one exemplary embodiment, a wearable device (such as earphones, ear rings, gloves, glasses, or other wearable objects) configured as disclosed herein receives directions to an intended destination for a user, the directions comprising a movement action and a distance to the movement action. The wearable device has multiple haptic output units and generates, through one of those units, a haptic output based on the directions. This allows the user to receive the directions through touch rather than looking at their mobile device or from audio.
AUTOMATIC INVERSELY FOLDABLE UMBRELLA
An automatic inversely foldable umbrella includes a skeleton structure provided with a main shaft; an upper runner fixed to one end of the main shaft; a lower runner slidably disposed on the main shaft; a middle runner slidably disposed on the main shaft between the upper runner and the lower runner; plural skeleton linkages having a first rib, a second rib, and a foldable rib; plural linking members with one end pivotally disposed on the lower runner and the other end connected with the first rib; a resilient member disposed between the middle runner and the lower runner, and compressible due to the middle runner and the lower runner movement; a first canopy combined to the upper runner and a second canopy combined to the lower runner for covering the skeleton linkages; and a handle. Therefore, the folding and expanding operation of the umbrella are facilitated.
Umbrella
An umbrella includes (a) a rod assembly including a plurality of rods; (b) a canopy connected to the rod assembly and movable between an open position in which the canopy is deployed and a closed position in which the canopy is retracted; (c) a stationary handgrip connected to the rod assembly for grasping the umbrella; (d) a trigger assembly that is releasably connected to at least one rod of the rod assembly, wherein, upon actuation of the trigger assembly, the trigger releases the at least one rod of the rod assembly which deploys and causes the canopy to move from the closed position to the open position; and (e) a handle movable with respect to the handgrip and connected to the rod assembly, the handle being translatable to move the canopy from the open position to the closed position.

System and method for providing directions haptically
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for providing directions haptically such that sight and hearing can continue unimpeded. In one exemplary embodiment, a system configured as disclosed herein receives directions to an intended destination for a user, the directions comprising a movement action and a distance to the movement action. The system generates, via a processor, a left signal component and a right signal component based on the directions. The system transmits the left signal component to a left haptic output unit and transmits the right signal component to a right haptic output unit, such that the directions are communicated to the user via the left haptic output unit and the right haptic output unit.
Solar umbrella
Embodiments of the present invention provide an umbrella, comprising: an umbrella frame, an umbrella cloth, solar chips, a storage battery, and an electrical driving mechanism. The umbrella cloth covers the umbrella frame, the solar chips are disposed on an upper surface of the umbrella cloth, the solar chips are electrically connected with the storage battery, and the storage battery provides electrical energy to the electrical driving mechanism disposed on the umbrella frame so that the umbrella frame, driven by the electrical driving mechanism, achieves opening and closing motion. The present invention solves problems with the umbrellas in the prior art such as single functionality and difficult opening and closing.
Deployable shading structure
A system for providing weather protection including shading in an automated and selective manner. The system includes an enclosure with an inner chamber and an outlet to the inner chamber. The system also includes a canopy and a deploy and retract assembly, which includes a canopy support assembly supporting the canopy. The deploy and retract assembly operates to move the canopy support assembly to move the canopy into the inner chamber and out of the inner chamber. The system further includes a controller generating control signals to operate the deploy and retract assembly. Specifically, this assembly is configured to retract the canopy by moving the canopy support assembly to move the canopy through the outlet into the inner chamber and further is configured to deploy the canopy by moving the canopy support assembly to move the canopy through the outlet to be at least partially outside of the inner chamber.
Automated Intelligent Shading Objects and Computer-Readable Instructions for Interfacing With, Communicating With and Controlling a Shading Object
An intelligent shading object comprises a base assembly and an umbrella support assembly. The umbrella support assembly is coupled to the base assembly and comprises a first processor and a first motor assembly. The first motor assembly rotates an umbrella support assembly about a vertical axis in response to commands and/or signals generated by the first processor. The umbrella assembly further comprises a stem assembly and a center support assembly, where the center support assembly further comprises a second processor, a second motor assembly, a lower assembly, an upper assembly, and a hinging assembly. The second processor communicates signals and/or commands to the second motor assembly and the second motor assembly drives the upper assembly to rotate with respect to the lower assembly via the hinging assembly.
Wheelchair having an umbrella assembly
A wheelchair having, in an embodiment, a frame, a seat, a plurality of wheels and an umbrella assembly. The umbrella assembly has a canopy, a canopy holder and a driving device. During opening, the canopy slides upward through the canopy holder and extends outward.
