Methanation and Recovery Method, System, and Apparatus
A method, a system, and an apparatus of certain embodiments are provided to recover water and carbon dioxide from combustion emissions. The recovery includes, among other things, electrolysis and carbon dioxide capture in a suitable solvent. The recovered water and carbon dioxide are subject to reaction, such as a catalytic methanation reaction, to generate at least methane.
System and method for reprocessing animal bedding
A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance of the manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. The bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, said bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In yet another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.
Apparatus and process for producing a deacidified fluid stream
A process for producing a deacidified fluid stream from a fluid stream comprising methanol and at least one acid gas and an apparatus for carrying out the process. The process comprising a) an absorption step in which the fluid stream is contacted with an absorbent in an absorber to obtain an absorbent laden with methanol and acid gases and an least partly deacidified fluid stream; b) a regeneration step in which at least a portion of the laden absorbent obtained from step a) is regenerated in a regenerator to obtain an at least partly regenerated absorbent and a gaseous stream comprising methanol, water and at least one acid gas; c) a recycling step in which at least a substream of the regenerated absorbent from step b) is recycled into the absorption step a); d) a condensation step in which a condensate comprising methanol and water is condensed out of the gaseous stream from step b); e) a distillation step in which at least a portion of the condensate from step d) is guided into a distillation column to obtain a top stream comprising methanol and a bottom stream comprising water; which comprises recycling at least a portion of the bottom stream from step e) into the regenerator.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF LIQUID BIOGAS
The present invention describes a method for the production of liquid biogas (LBG), said method comprising the following steps:—inflow of crude gas comprising mainly methane and carbon dioxide;—removal of trace elements like hydrogen sulphide, siloxanes and VOC's from the crude gas;—dehumidification;—particle purification; for the production of a treated biogas; separation of carbon dioxide from the treated biogas;—condensation of the treated biogas with a low content of carbon dioxide, for the production of LB G with a carbon dioxide content of maximum 100 ppm, preferably at or close to atmospheric pressure the LB G is lose to 100% pure methane with a carbon dioxide content of maximum 100 ppm, wherein the separation of carbon dioxide from the treated biogas involves freezing carbon dioxide in the treated biogas.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING VARIABLE, MULTI-PHASE FLUID CONVERSION TO OUTPUT FUEL AND ENERGY
A method, system, and apparatus for managing variable, multi-phase fluid conversion to output fuel and energy for providing customizable management for processing a volume of natural gas including a volume of methane and a volume of other alkanes that may be cleaned of the other alkanes using a conversion system to create synthesis gas and other fuel products to be used in onsite or combined heat and power or cogeneration applications. In particular, the method, system, and apparatus provide for automated feedback and control directing various gas constituents to different application units with allocations according to settings system parameters to quickly and efficiently meet the demand for various products while making adjustments in real-time.
Process for Producing Clean Coal Using Chemical Pre-Treatment and High Shear Reactor
A method of processing raw coal using activation agents (e.g., solvents and extractants) in a high shear reactor, which creates high shearing forces to break apart the coal and selectively extract and remove contaminants such as ash, sulfur, and other heavy metal impurities resulting in clean, high caloric-value coal.
SAWDUST CHARCOAL
A method to create a natural charcoal briquette is described herein. A wood material is collected and impurities are removed from the wood material. The wood material is dried at a temperature in a range of approximately 150° C. to approximately 200° C. to reach a moisture level in a range of approximately 3.7% to approximately 5.0%. The dried wood material is compressed in a shaped mold at approximately 300° C. and under 40 tons of pressure to form a charcoal briquette. The charcoal briquette is carbonized at a temperature in a range of approximately 700° C. to approximately 800° C. in a range of approximately 14 days to approximately 17 days. The charcoal briquette is then cooled for approximately 2 days prior to use or packaging.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING MIXED SOLID WASTE
Solid waste that includes a mixture of wet organic material and dry organic material can be are separated using mechanical separation to produce a wet organic stream enriched in wet organics and a dry organic stream enriched in dry organics. The separated wet organic stream and dry organic stream are separately converted to renewable or recyclable products using different conversion techniques particularly suited for the separated wet and dry organic streams.
Method for Purifying Glycol Used as a Hydrate Inhibitor
The invention concerns a purification method comprising: providing a flow comprising a glycol, monovalent ions and multivalent ions; treating this flow with ion exclusion chromatography comprising: injecting the flow into a chromatographic unit comprising an ion exchange stationary phase; injecting an eluent into the chromatographic unit; collecting a fraction at the outlet of the chromatographic unit; the collected fraction being enriched with glycol and depleted of monovalent ions and multivalent ions relative to the flow.
The invention also concerns an installation adapted to implement this method, and its application to the regeneration of an anti-hydrate agent.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT TORREFACTION OF BIOMASS
The present invention relates to a method and system for torrefaction of biomass and combustion of generated torrefaction gases. The torrefaction gases released from the biomass during the torrefaction reaction are withdrawn from the reactor and into a first burning zone. A secondary stream of air is introduced to the first burning zone to combust the torrefaction gases whereupon hot flue gases are obtained. Part of the hot flue gases are directed to a mixing unit. The rest of the hot flue gas is directed to a second burning zone for complete combustion of the flue gases. The fully combusted flue gases obtained in the second burning zone are directed to a heat recovery unit where the temperature of the flue gas is decreased. Part of the cold flue gases are directed to the mixing unit where it is mixed with the hot flue gases such that a stream of cooled flue gases is obtained. The stream of the cooled flue gases are diverted into the torrefaction reactor for direct heating of the biomass.
