Lignocellulosic biomass fermentation process co-product fuel for cement kiln
A fuel made from co-products derived from a lignocellulosic biomass fermentation process is used to fuel a cement production process. Filter cake and syrup co-products are mixed and dried, then burned in a cement kiln to create the temperatures needed for cement production.
GEOGRAPHIC MOBILE CUSTOMER RELATIONS MANAGEMENT WITH BESPOKE GRAPHICAL SELECTION AND QUERY MODES
A system for geographic mobile customer relations management, using a mobile customer relations management system manager connected to at least one mobile-capable network-connected computing device configured to graphically identify, manage and update customer relations management data in a geographic context and configured to organize customer relations management data based on at least one specific real-time queried variable using a selective graphical encapsulating function and/or graphical query mode to yield optimal routes to location-based customers, with an option to optimize schedules and appointments based on real-time customer relations management data available in a customer relations management system.
Surfactant-Improved Simultaneous Saccharification and Co-Fermentation Method for Lignocellulose
A surfactant-improved simultaneous saccharification and co-fermentation method for lignocelluloses in which a pretreated lignocellulose substrate is directly subjected to surfactant-improved simultaneous saccharification and co-fermentation without any detoxification by adding a surfactant, and the surfactant may be selectively added before or after pre-enzymatic hydrolysis, having economic, effective and feasible application prospects in reducing the loss of glucose, simplifying the production process, reducing equipment investment, reducing water consumption, improving ethanol production and reducing the total cost of the ethanol production process.
Butanol purification
Provided are methods for removing one or more components from a butanol based composition. The methods comprise providing a butanol based composition comprising one or more components, targeting at least one component or a combination thereof for reduction, and processing said butanol based composition such that the at least one targeted component is substantially removed. The butanol based composition can, for example, be bio-produced.
SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING OF BIOGAS TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY IN FUEL CELLS
A system including biogas purification and provides biogas as feedstock to a solid oxide fuel cell. The biogas purification treatment process provides a polished biogas that is substantially free of carbonyl sulfides and hydrogen sulfide. The system uses a biogas treatment apparatus, that includes apparatus such as a packed columns, comprising copper oxide or potassium permanganate packing material, and an activated carbon component configured to treat the biogas by polishing it to remove carbonyl sulfides and deleterious trace residues, such as hydrogen sulfide, that were not removed by any prior bulk H2S removal steps. In addition, an oil removal device is used to remove any entrained fine oil droplets in the biogas. A polished biogas having in the range of 60% methane is charged to the fuel cell. Electricity generated may be fed into a grid or used directly as energy to charge electrical-powered vehicles, for example. Energy credits are tracked in real time and are appropriately assigned.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING EXCREMENT OF LIVESTOCK
A system for treating excrement of livestock includes: reduced-pressure fermentation drying equipment configured to store excrement of livestock in an airtight container, heat and stir the excrement of livestock under reduced pressure so that a temperature of the excrement of livestock is within a predetermined temperature range, decompose organic components of organic matter using microorganisms, and obtain volume-reduced dried product; and heat source equipment that is provided on a downstream side of the reduced-pressure fermentation drying equipment and generates a heat source by combusting the obtained volume-reduced dried product.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONJUGATED DIENE POLYMER
[Problem to be Solved] Provided is a method for producing a non-petrochemical-derived conjugated diene polymer using an alcohol derived from a non-petrochemical raw material.
[Means to Solve the Problem] In the present invention, the method is characterized in that a non-petrochemical-derived conjugated diene polymer is produced using an alcohol derived from a non-petrochemical raw material having an iron content of 0.0001 mg/L to 2 mg/L.
Method to control the extraction rate in a membrane based biogas upgrading plant
A facility and method for membrane permeation treatment of a feed gas flow containing at least methane and carbon dioxide that includes a compressor, a gas analyser, at least one valve, and first, second, third, and fourth membrane separation units for separation of CO.sub.2 from CH.sub.4 to permeates enriched in CO.sub.2 and retentates enriched in CH.sub.4, respectively. A pressure of the feed gas flow is adjusted according to a CH.sub.4 concentration of the second retentate.
Process for the manufacture of butanol or acetone
A process for the manufacture of butanol, acetone and/or other renewable chemicals is provided wherein the process utilises one or more of the group comprising by-products of the manufacture of malt whisky, such as draff, pot ale and/or spent lees, biomass substrates, such as paper, sludge from paper manufacture and spent grains from distillers and brewers, and diluents, such as water and spent liquid from other fermentations. The process comprises treating a substrate to hydrolyse it and fermenting the treated substrate at an initial pH in the range of 5.0 to 6.0. Also provided is a biofuel comprising butanol manufactured according to the process of the invention.
Food waste carbonizer
A high-efficiency food waste carbonization process using a carbonizer specially designed to function at a specific range of temperatures to work efficiently, with minimal energy input and designed to reduce volume and to produce charcoal that may be used as a fuel. The invention is designed to work with high-moisture materials such as food waste.
