UMBRELLA WITH PROTECTIVE SHEATH ASSEMBLY
An umbrella with a protective sheath assembly is provided. The umbrella can comprise a foldable canopy, a pole, a series of spokes extending from a hub slidable on the pole, the spokes supporting the canopy, a handle extended from the pole, and a foldable sheath selectively extendable from the canopy. A series of drawstrings can be provided for maintaining the sheath in a deployed state, the drawstrings connected to a cord for actuation of the drawstrings and consequently the deployment of the sheath. The protective sheath assembly provides partial to full body protection from inclement weather or natural elements including sun, wind, water, sand, mud, dirt, gravel, or other unwanted debris or dirt.
Air Permeable Sun Shading Fabric
An air permeable sun shading fabric for provision of shade while allowing air to permeate the fabric includes a panel that is flexible and comprises a plurality of layers. The plurality of layers comprises an inner layer and an outer layer. Each of the layers has a plurality of openings. The openings are consistently sized and equally spaced, thus defining a band around each of the openings. The opening and a respective one of the bands define a unit. The openings of each of the layers are positioned in rows that are parallel. Each of the rows is offset by one half of the unit from adjacent rows. The layers are mutually coupled, such that each of the pluralities of openings is offset from the pluralities of openings positioned in adjacent layers.
Outdoor Cover Product with Stretch Properties
An outdoor cover product is disclosed. The outdoor cover product is water resistant and breathable. The product is made from a fabric, such as a knitted fabric, that has excellent stretch properties in multiple directions.
DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR LEISURELY ENJOYING AN OUTDOOR SPACE
A device for enjoying an outdoor space, wherein the device provides a parasol connected to a distal end of a pole, wherein a parasol fan is disposed along an inner surface of the parasol so as to direct airflow downward in the direction of the pole, and wherein a net disposed downward of the parasol fan, wherein the net defines a compartment between the net and a portion of the inner surface of the parasol that the parasol fan occupies.
POWERED SUN UMBRELLA
According to an aspect of the present invention disclosed herein, there is provided an umbrella, comprising: a shaft; a first canopy; and a second canopy, wherein: the first canopy has alternating solid material and open sections; the second canopy has alternating solid material and open sections; the first canopy is attached to the shaft above the second canopy; and the first canopy and the second canopy are configured to rotate relative to each other around the shaft. A second embodiment is an umbrella, comprising: a shaft; a first canopy; and a second canopy, wherein: the first canopy is made of a polarized translucent material; the second canopy is made of a polarized translucent material; the first canopy is attached to the shaft above the second canopy; and the first canopy and the second canopy are configured to rotate relative to each other around the shaft.
Modular Outdoor Umbrella Systems
Techniques are disclosed for modular outdoor umbrella systems comprising an umbrella frame, a substantially transparent canopy and a substantially opaque canopy. Initially, the substantially transparent canopy is removably installed on the umbrella frame by a user. This first canopy provides warmth and visibility during the colder seasons while providing protection from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. During the warmer seasons, the user interchanges the canopy with a substantially opaque canopy. This second canopy provides shade and cooling effect. The decision to interchange is based on a number of factors. These include performance attributes of the canopies, the prevailing environmental conditions and personal preference(s) of the user. In embodiments, a multiplicity of canopies are provided that can be modularly and removably installed by the user as needed based on the above factors. In other variations, a heatshield cover is provided that can be removably deployed over an underlying transparent canopy based on the above factors.
