in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are each independently selected from C.sub.1-4-alkyl and C.sub.1-4-hydroxyalkyl; R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are each independently selected from hydrogen, C.sub.1-4-alkyl and C.sub.1-4-hydroxyalkyl, with the proviso that at least one R.sub.4 and/or R.sub.5 radical on the carbon atom bonded directly to the nitrogen atom is C.sub.1-4-alkyl or C.sub.1-4-hydroxyalkyl when R.sub.3 is hydrogen; x and y are integers from 2 to 4 and z is an integer from 1 to 4; where the molar ratio of b) to a) is in the range from 0.05 to 1.0, and c) an acid in an amount, calculated as neutralization equivalent relative to the protonatable nitrogen atoms in a) and b), of 0.05 to 15.0%. One preferred amine of the formula I is 2-(2-tert-butylaminoethoxy)ethanol. The absorbent allows a defined H.sub.2S selectivity to be set at pressures of the kind typical in natural gas processing.
Method for treating a feed gas stream and associated installation
The method includes cooling and liquefying a feed gas stream, separating a stream obtained from the feed gas stream, and recovering a treated gas stream and a natural gas liquid stream. The method further includes compressing the treated gas stream in order to form a compressed treated gas stream, and fractionating the natural gas liquid stream into a plurality of hydrocarbon fractions (28, 30, 32, 33). The method additionally includes withdrawing from the compressed treated gas stream, of a recycle stream, and reintroducing the recycle stream without cooling into the feed gas stream, into the cooled feed gas stream, or into a stream obtained from the cooled feed gas stream upstream of an expander.
PROCESS FOR REMOVING CO2 FROM A METHANE-CONTAINING GAS
A process for removing CO.sub.2 from a methane-containing gas, having the steps of providing a methane-containing gas containing at least CO.sub.2 as an impurity, cooling the gas to remove CO.sub.2 from the methane-containing gas by freezing out same, and additionally reducing the CO.sub.2 concentration of the gas using a pressure temperature swing adsorption apparatus (PTSA), whereby a methane-enriched product gas is obtained. At least a part of the product gas is then used as treatment gas and is passed through the PTSA for treatment of the PTSA, whereby CO.sub.2 is absorbed by the treatment gas and is removed from the PTSA as a CO.sub.2-enriched treatment gas. The treatment gas is then recycled and admixed with the methane containing gas.

Integrated PTSA/membrane method and system for H2S and CO2 removal from biogas
Biogas containing H.sub.2S and CO.sub.2 is upgraded by removing H.sub.2S using PTSA and CO.sub.2 using two stages of gas separation membranes. The first stage permeate may optionally be used a regeneration gas stream. The second stage permeate may optionally be used a cool down gas stream. The PTSA unit includes two or more adsorbent beds each selective for water, VOCs, and H.sub.2S over CO.sub.2 and for H.sub.2S over methane.
INTEGRATION METHODS OF GAS PROCESSING PLANT AND NITROGEN REJECTION UNIT FOR HIGH NITROGEN FEED GASES
Gas processing plants and methods are contemplated in CO.sub.2 is effectively removed to very low levels from a feed gas to an NRU unit by adding a physical solvent unit that uses waste nitrogen produced by the NRU as stripping gas to produce an ultra-lean solvent, which is then used to treat the feed gas to the NRU unit. Most preferably, the physical solvent unit includes a flash unit and stripper column to produce the ultra-lean solvent.
Two Column Hydrocarbon Recovery from Carbon Dioxide Enhanced Oil Recovery Streams
A method for recovering hydrocarbons with two multistage columns includes receiving a carbon dioxide recycle stream. The carbon dioxide recycle stream is separated in a first multistage column to produce a purified carbon dioxide recycle stream and a light hydrocarbon stream. The light hydrocarbon stream is separated in a second multistage column to produce a liquefied petroleum stream and a natural gas liquids stream. The first multistage column and the second multistage column are the only two multistage columns used in the method.
