A hybrid fuel and methods of making the same. A process for making a hybrid fuel includes the steps of combining a biofuel emulsion blend and a liquid fuel product to form a hybrid fuel. A hybrid fuel includes blends of biofuel emulsions and liquid fuel products, including light gas diesel. Certain UV filter compounds improve the combustion properties of diesel fuel compositions, and in particular modify the ignition delay and/or modify the burn period and/or modify the peak pressure and/or increase the cetane number of the liquid fuel composition. A liquid fuel composition is provided containing: (a) a diesel base fuel suitable for use in an internal combustion engine; and (b) in the range of 10 ppmw to 2 wt %, by weight of the liquid fuel composition, of one or more organic UV filter compounds selected from imidazoles, triazines, triazones and triazoles, and mixtures thereof.

A polymeric composition suitable for lowering the Pour Point of paraffinic crude oils comprising a synergic mixture including at least two ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers respectively having an average molecular weight Mw lower than 130,000 Dalton (measured via GPC), a content of vinyl acetate monomer ranging from 15 to 50% by weight, with the proviso that the content of vinyl acetate monomer in the respective copolymers differs from one copolymer to another, by over 5%, on a weight basis.
