BLENDS OF ETHYLENE VINYL ACETATE COPOLYMER AND AN ACRYLATE-CONTAINING COPOLYMER AS POUR POINT DEPRESSANTS
A composition is provided that includes about 1 weight % to about 49 weight % of a copolymer including ethylene and vinyl acetate; about 1 weight % to about 49 weight % of an acrylate-containing copolymer; and about 2 weight % to about 98 weight % of a solvent. The composition can be used to decrease the pour point of a hydrocarbon, such as crude oil.
Fuel additive composition, fuel composition, and process for preparation thereof
The present disclosure describes an additive composition comprising: (a) an organometallic compound; (b) a nitrogen-containing compound; (c) an aryl peroxide; and (d) at least one solvent, wherein the organometallic compound to the nitrogen-containing compound to the aryl peroxide weight ratio is in a range of 7:0.5:0.5-9:1.5:1.5. The addition of additive composition not only synergistically improves the properties of the at least one fuel, such as, LPG for use as torch gas for cutting and welding application, but also reduces the consumption of both fuel and oxygen for cutting applications. The present disclosure is also directed towards a process for preparation of the fuel composition.
Fuel additive composition
A fuel additive composition comprising an anthocyanidin; an amino acid; and a catalyst. The anthocyanidin may comprise delphinidin chloride. The amino acid may comprise aspartic acid, leucine acid, glutamic acid, a non-natural amino acid, or a combination thereof. Embodiments of the present invention also relate to a method for making of fuel additive, the method comprising: providing an anthocyanidin; contacting the anthocyanidin with an amino acid to form an anthocyanidin-amino acid mixture; contacting the anthocyanidin-amino acid mixture with a catalyst. The method may further comprise contacting the anthocyanidin-amino acid mixture with ethanol and/or an acid. The method may further comprise adjusting the pH of the anthocyanidin-amino acid mixture to less than 7.

Process for preparing a diesel fuel composition
Process for preparing a diesel fuel composition comprising the steps of: (i) blending a Fischer-Tropsch derived gasoil with a petroleum derived gasoil to form a blended gasoil which is compliant with the EN590 specification, wherein the Fischer-Tropsch derived gasoil has a density of 0.8 g/cm.sup.3 or less and wherein the petroleum derived gasoil is derived from naphthenic high density petroleum crude oil and has a density at 15° C. of 0.84 g/cm.sup.3 or greater and a naphthenics content of 30 wt % or greater; and (ii) mixing the blended gasoil produced in step (i) with a diesel base fuel to form a diesel fuel composition, wherein the diesel fuel composition has a density at 15° C. in the range from 0.820 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.845 g/cm.sup.3.

An octane-enhancing additive includes a mixed butanol composition, sec-butyl ether, methanol, methyl tert-butyl ether, and a C4-dimer, the mixed butanol composition comprising sec-butanol and tert-butanol, and the C4-dimer comprising di-isobutylene, 2,2,4 trimethylpentane, 2,3,3 trimethylpentane, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing.
Methods and apparatus for the utilization of treated carbonaceous fuels and feedstocks
The inventive technology includes methods and apparatus for the generation and application of segregated catalytic additives for the pre-combustion treatment of carbonaceous fuel and/or feedstocks. The application of such segregated additives results in the reduction of environmentally harmful emissions during combustion as well as gasification processes. Specifically, pre-combustion treatment of carbonaceous materials with the inventive additives results in the reduction of NOx and/or mercury emissions by least 20% and 40% respectively.
Use of a mixture of a complex ester with a monocarboxylic acid to reduce friction
The present invention relates to the use of a mixture comprising (I) at least one complex ester obtainable by an esterification reaction between (A) at least one aliphatic linear or branched C.sub.2-to C.sub.12-dicarboxylic acid, (B) at least one aliphatic linear or branched polyhydroxy alcohol with 3 to 6 hydroxyl groups, and (C) as a chain stopping agent (C1) at least one aliphatic linear or branched C.sub.1-to C.sub.30-monocarboxylic acid in case of an excess of component (B), or (C2) at least one aliphatic linear or branched monobasic C.sub.1-to C.sub.30-alcohol in case of an excess of component (A), and (II) at least one aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having from 12 to 30 carbon atoms in a weight ratio of (I):(II) of from 20 to 80:80 to 20 as an additive in a fuel for different purposes.
