GREASE COMPOSITION INCLUDING COPPER SULFIDE FOR CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINTS
A grease composition is intended primarily for use in constant velocity joins (CV joints), especially ball joints and/or tripod joints, which are used in the drivelines of motor vehicles. The grease composition for use in constant velocity joints comprises at least one base oil, and least one thickener, at least one copper sulfide in an amount of approximately 0.01 wt-% up to approximately 1.5 wt-% of the grease composition, molybdenum disulfide and/or at least one phosphor-free organic molybdenum complex in an amount of approximately 0.1 wt-% up to approximately 5.0 wt-% of the grease composition. Further, a constant velocity joint comprises the grease composition.
Alkyl phosphate amine salts for use in lubricants
A lubricant composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of a substantially sulfur-free alkyl phosphate amine salt, where at least 30 mole percent of the phosphorus atoms are in an alkyl pyrophosphate salt structure, exhibits good antiwear performance. In the phosphate amine salt, at least 80 mole percent of the alkyl groups are typically secondary alkyl groups of 3 to 12 carbon atoms.
Alkyl phosphate amine salts for use in lubricants
A lubricant composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of a substantially sulfur-free alkyl phosphate amine salt, where at least 30 mole percent of the phosphorus atoms are in an alkyl pyrophosphate salt structure, exhibits good antiwear performance. In the phosphate amine salt, at least 80 mole percent of the alkyl groups are typically secondary alkyl groups of 3 to 12 carbon atoms.
Cooling and flame-retardant composition for a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle
The present invention relates to a composition for cooling a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle including at least one battery, comprising: (i) at least one base oil or at least one hydrocarbon-based fluid with a boiling point of greater than or equal to 50° C.; (ii) at least one fire retardant corresponding to formula (I)
R.sub.F-L-R.sub.H (I) in which R.sub.F is a perfluorinated or partially fluorinated group, R.sub.H is a hydrocarbon-based group, and L is a linker; and (iii) at least one fluoro compound with a boiling point of between 50 and 250° C. The invention also relates to the use of at least one fluoro compound with a boiling point of between 50° C. and 250° C. for promoting the contact between a fire retardant corresponding to formula (I) and an element of a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle, when thermal runaway is observed, said fire retardant of formula (I) being formulated in a base oil, or a hydrocarbon-based fluid with a boiling point of greater than or equal to 50° C. Finally, the invention relates to a process for cooling and fire-protecting at least one battery of a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle, comprising at least one step of placing at least one battery in contact with a composition according to the invention.
Cooling and flame-retardant composition for a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle
The present invention relates to a composition for cooling a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle including at least one battery, comprising: (i) at least one base oil or at least one hydrocarbon-based fluid with a boiling point of greater than or equal to 50° C.; (ii) at least one fire retardant corresponding to formula (I)
R.sub.F-L-R.sub.H (I) in which R.sub.F is a perfluorinated or partially fluorinated group, R.sub.H is a hydrocarbon-based group, and L is a linker; and (iii) at least one fluoro compound with a boiling point of between 50 and 250° C. The invention also relates to the use of at least one fluoro compound with a boiling point of between 50° C. and 250° C. for promoting the contact between a fire retardant corresponding to formula (I) and an element of a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle, when thermal runaway is observed, said fire retardant of formula (I) being formulated in a base oil, or a hydrocarbon-based fluid with a boiling point of greater than or equal to 50° C. Stabilized lubricant composition for continuous casting processes
Described herein is a stabilized lubricant composition for use in steel casting, in particular in continuous casting processes. In particular, the lubricant composition for processes for producing steel by continuous casting includes a dispersion of a lubricant powder, for an ingot mold, in continuous casting, in an oily liquid means, and a stabilization additive, characterized in that it has the following shear thinning index values: TABLE-US-00001 RVT 0.1/1 1/10 10/100 100/1000 STI 3.0-7.5 2.0-6.5 1.0-3.0 0.5-2.0 wherein RVT is the ratio between two different shear speeds and STI is the shear thinning index corresponding to the RVT values.

LUBRICANT COMPOSITION HAVING IMPROVED HIGH-TEMPERATURE DURABILITY
The present disclosure relates to a lubricant composition including a base oil, a thickener and a thickener supplement, and a method of manufacturing the same. The lubricant composition of the present disclosure is effective at improving performance at high-temperature by maintaining the evaporation amount and friction characteristics even at high temperatures, thus inhibiting oil contamination of powertrain parts and the like and maintaining sticking phenomenon even in a high-temperature environment, thereby increasing the durability of parts.
