A telescoping connector and telescoping umbrella having the connector which employs an axial securing mechanism.
Wearable canopy shade
A wearable canopy shade is provided. The wearable canopy shade includes a canopy secured a frame, wherein the frame includes a bulbous first end and a narrower second end. The frame is movable between an open position and a closed position, wherein the open position, the second end is perpendicular to the first end, such that the second end is configured to rest parallel to a back of a user wearing the shade and the first end rests above a head of the user, providing shade to a user positioned thereunder. The shade includes a pair of shoulder straps that can secure the frame to the user. A cord is securable between the first end of the frame and the pair of shoulder straps in order to prevent the rotation of the first end of the frame relative to the second end when the shade is in use.
Anchoring umbrella stand with manually extendable drill bit
Disclosed is an anchoring umbrella stand with a manually extendable drill bit. In certain exemplary embodiments disclosed herein, the anchoring umbrella stand includes a drill bit that can be manually extendable from and manually retractable into an elongate housing body by use of a crank handle. Manual operation of the crank handle rotates and translates the drill bit between a retracted position within the elongate housing body and an extended position outside the elongate housing body. In certain embodiments, the anchoring umbrella stand further includes a gear train assembly and/or a stabilizing plate to further aid a user in anchoring the umbrella stand. The anchoring umbrella stand facilitates umbrella anchoring by providing a more stable anchoring mechanism that requires less strength, less coordination, and no electric power to operate.
Umbrella Backpack Apparatus
An umbrella backpack apparatus for hands-free umbrella usage includes a back plate having an inner face, an outer face, a top edge, a bottom edge, a left edge, and a right edge. A pole support is coupled to the outer face and extends from adjacent the bottom edge to adjacent the top edge. The pole support has a top side having a pole aperture extending through to proximal the bottom side. An umbrella is coupled to the pole support. The umbrella has an umbrella pole coupled within the pole aperture. A runner hub is slidingly coupled to the umbrella pole, a canopy is coupled to the umbrella pole, and a plurality of ribs is coupled between the runner hub and the canopy. The runner hub opens and alternatively collapses the canopy.
Collapsible Hammock and Umbrella Assembly
A collapsible hammock and umbrella assembly. The collapsible hammock and umbrella assembly has a hammock frame and an umbrella. The hammock frame includes a horizontal support, a pair of angled supports, a cross-brace, and a plurality of feet to provide a structure to which a hammock bed can be supported. The horizontal support and the pair of angled supports each further include a hinge at a midpoint thereof, and the cross-brace further includes a plurality of hinges, to enable the frame to fold and collapse into a storage configuration. A distal end of one of the pair of angled supports has an umbrella support ring which can receive a shaft of an umbrella to enable a user to removably secure the umbrella to the hammock frame.
