GREASE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
A grease composition includes a base oil, a thickener, and a styrene-based block copolymer containing ethylene-alpha olefin copolymerization repeating units as a first polymer additive, wherein 1.5% to 15% by weight of the first polymer additive is contained based on a total weight of the grease composition.

A viscous transition stress at 25 C. is 300 Pa or more, and a viscous transition stress at 100 C. is 40 Pa or less. A shear viscosity at 25 C. and at a shear rate of 0.1 s.sup.1 is 1.610.sup.6 mPa.Math.s or more, and a shear viscosity at 100 C. and at a shear rate of 10 s.sup.1 is 1.110.sup.4 mPa.Math.s or less.

LITHIUM/CALCIUM SULFONATE MIXED BASE LUBRICATING GREASE
A lubricating grease is formed by a method including preparing a lithium formulation and cooling the lithium formulation to about 175 degree Celsius ( C.). The method includes preparing a calcium sulfonate formulation and combining the lithium formulation and the calcium sulfonate formulation in proportions appropriate to the desired performance criteria. The method includes mixing the lithium formulation and the calcium sulfonate formulation.

A grease composition that includes at least an oil-based medium, a thickener, and a fullerene-like nano-structure. The fullerene-like nano-structure includes a plurality of layers each comprised of a metal chalcogenide composition has a molecular formula of MX.sub.2, where M is a metallic element selected from the group consisting of titanium (Ti), vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), zirconium (Zr), niobium (Nb), molybdenum (Mo), technetium (Tc), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), silver (Ag), cadmium (Cd), hafnium (Hf), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), rhenium (Re), osmium (Os), iridium (Ir), platinum (Pt), gold (Au), mercury (Hg) and combinations thereof, and X is a chalcogen element selected from the group consisting of sulfur (S), selenium (Se), tellurium (Te), oxygen (O) and combinations thereof.

A grease composition that includes at least an oil-based medium, a thickener, and a fullerene-like nano-structure. The fullerene-like nano-structure includes a plurality of layers each comprised of a metal chalcogenide composition has a molecular formula of MX.sub.2, where M is a metallic element selected from the group consisting of titanium (Ti), vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), zirconium (Zr), niobium (Nb), molybdenum (Mo), technetium (Tc), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), palladium (Pd), silver (Ag), cadmium (Cd), hafnium (Hf), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), rhenium (Re), osmium (Os), iridium (Ir), platinum (Pt), gold (Au), mercury (Hg) and combinations thereof, and X is a chalcogen element selected from the group consisting of sulfur (S), selenium (Se), tellurium (Te), oxygen (O) and combinations thereof.
GREASE COMPOSITION
A grease composition comprising: (i) a mineral base oil containing one or more of fatty ammonium carboxylate salts of formula (I),
##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from C.sub.12 to C.sub.20 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight-chain hydrocarbyl groups; X is selected from NH, .sup.+NH.sub.2 and N(R.sup.4)NH.sub.3.sup.+; R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 are independently selected from C.sub.2 to C.sub.8 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight chain hydrocarbyl groups, and may be the same or different; R.sup.3 is selected from C.sub.12 to C.sub.26 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight-chain hydrocarbyl groups; and n is 1 or 2; and (ii) a simple lithium soap thickener, wherein said lubricating grease composition is prepared by a process comprising the steps of combining the mineral base oil with the one or more fatty ammonium carboxylate salts of formula (I) and then thickening said base oil fatty ammonium carboxylate salt mixture with the simple lithium soap thickener.

A grease composition comprising: (i) a mineral base oil containing one or more of fatty ammonium carboxylate salts of formula (I),
##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 is selected from C.sub.12 to C.sub.20 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight-chain hydrocarbyl groups; X is selected from NH, .sup.+NH.sub.2 and N(R.sup.4)NH.sub.3.sup.+; R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 are independently selected from C.sub.2 to C.sub.8 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight chain hydrocarbyl groups, and may be the same or different; R.sup.3 is selected from C.sub.12 to C.sub.26 saturated or unsaturated, branched or straight-chain hydrocarbyl groups; and n is 1 or 2; and (ii) a simple lithium soap thickener, wherein said lubricating grease composition is prepared by a process comprising the steps of combining the mineral base oil with the one or more fatty ammonium carboxylate salts of formula (I) and then thickening said base oil fatty ammonium carboxylate salt mixture with the simple lithium soap thickener.
