GREASE COMPOSITIONS HAVING IMPROVED PERFORMANCE
This disclosure relates to grease compositions having at least one base oil, at least one soap or non-soap thickener, and at least one elastomeric triblock copolymer of the general configuration A-B-A, in which A is a relatively hydrophobic polymer block and B is a relatively hydrophilic polymer block, and in which A forms less than 50% by weight of the total molecular weight of the elastomeric triblock copolymer. When the grease compositions are used under high shear conditions, structural stability and resistance to breaking down in accordance with ASTM D7342 is improved. When the grease compositions are used in low temperature conditions, low temperature starting and running torque in accordance with ASTM D1478 is improved.
Synthetic industrial lubricants with improved compatibility
The invention relates to industrial gear oil compositions that have been specially designed to have improved storage stability and/or paint compatibility and/or seal compatibility. This improvement is achieved while maintaining good performance in other areas. These improvements are particularly relevant to synthetic lubricants, such as those made with polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils. This balance of properties has been difficult to achieve in synthetic compositions where problems in the areas of storage stability, paint compatibility and/or seal compatibility of become more pronounced. The invention also relates to processes of making such compositions and methods of using the same.

LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR INDUSTRIAL GEARING COMING INTO CONTACT WITH FOOD
The invention relates to a lubricant composition comprising: at least one base oil for coming into contact with food, selected from the groups II, III or V according to the categories defined in the API classification or the equivalents thereof according to the ATIEL classification; at least one hydrogenated polyisobutylene; and at least one ester polymer.
Lubricating Oil Compositions Comprising Dual Metallocene-Catalyzed Bimodal Copolymer Compositions Useful as Viscosity Modifiers
This application relates to copolymer compositions and copolymerization processes, as well as to lubricating oil compositions comprising such copolymer compositions as viscosity index improvers, and base oil. The copolymer compositions may be made using two different metallocene catalysts: one capable of producing high molecular weight copolymers; and one suitable for producing lower molecular weight copolymers having at least a portion of vinyl terminations, and the copolymer compositions produced thereby. Copolymer compositions may comprise (1) a first ethylene copolymer fraction having high molecular weight, exhibiting branching topology, and having relatively lower ethylene content (based on the weight of the first ethylene copolymer fraction); and (2) a second ethylene copolymer fraction having low molecular weight, exhibiting linear rheology, and having relatively higher ethylene content (based on the weight of the second ethylene copolymer fraction). Lubricating oil compositions comprising such copolymer compositions may exhibit superior viscosity properties.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING ESTOLIDE COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
Provided herein are compositions comprising at least one estolide compound of formula:
##STR00001##
in which n is an integer equal to or greater than 0; m is an integer equal to or greater than 1; R.sub.1, independently for each occurrence, is selected from optionally substituted alkyl that is saturated or unsaturated, and branched or unbranched; R.sub.2 is selected from hydrogen and optionally substituted alkyl that is saturated or unsaturated, and branched or unbranched; and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, independently for each occurrence, are selected from optionally substituted alkyl that is saturated or unsaturated, and branched or unbranched. Also provided are uses of the compositions described herein.

TRACTION FLUID COMPOSITION
raction fluid additive combination that is usable with any traction fluids base stock is provided. To optimize the traction, low temperature viscosity and shear stability performance, a combination of a polyisobutene and a polymethacrylate may be added to a base oil to obtain a traction fluid with good low temperature viscosity without degrading the shear strength properties of the fluid. To minimize foaming of the traction fluid, a combination of one, two, or more anti-foaming agents may be added to the fluid in addition to a standard additive package.
