LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
A lubricant composition improves a performance of reducing a formation of compressor deposit. The lubricant composition also ensures low temperature properties of the lubricant composition. The lubricant composition includes 14 mass % or more of a fraction having a boiling point of 500 C. to 550 C. and 5 mass % or more of a fraction having a boiling point of over 550 C.
Composition and method of manufacturing and using extremely rheopectic sulfonate-based greases
An extremely rheopectic sulfonate-based grease composition and method comprising adding overbased calcium sulfonate, overbased magnesium sulfonate, and a facilitating acid, using a particular type of overbased calcium sulfonate and/or methods for adding overbased calcium sulfonate relative to the magnesium sulfonate and facilitating acid to favor the reaction between the magnesium sulfonate and facilitating acid. A preferred overbased calcium sulfonate comprises benzene rings having multiple alkyl groups. Preferred methods comprise (1) adding all calcium sulfonate after adding the magnesium sulfonate and facilitating acid, (2) adding a first portion of calcium sulfonate with the magnesium sulfonate before adding the facilitating acid and a second portion of calcium sulfonate after the facilitating acid, and/or (3) one or more calcium sulfonate delay periods relative to adding the facilitating acid. The extremely rheopectic grease is fluid and pourable and only takes on a grease structure after milling or shearing.
Gas-expanded lubricants for increased energy efficiency and related method and system
Method and System of lubricating at least one moving part with a medium. The medium includes a dissolved mixture of lubricant and compressed gas. The amount of lubricant and compressed gas may be controlled in forming the dissolved mixture in response to input conditions. A user and/or external factors may be used to determine the input conditions. In response to the input conditions the amount of lubricant and compressed gas is delivered to the moving part that is housed in a pressurized chamber. The properties of the dissolved mixture can be adjusted, whereby the properties may include, but are not limited to, the following: viscosity, temperature, and thermal conductivity. This adjustment to the gas may be accomplished, for example, by releasing gas from the pressurized chamber in an amount to adjust the properties. In a further approach, lubricant may be scavenged from the pressurized chamber by returning surplus lubricant to its original source or other designated location.
EVAPORATION OPERATIVE MATERIALS HAVING LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
A composition comprising: (a) at least one active component; and (b) a carrier in an amount effective to at least partially solvate or at least partially emulsify said active component, said carrier comprising monochloro, trifluoropropene.
