A method for hydrotreating and recycling waste lubricating oil, the method comprising the two steps of slurry bed pre-hydrotreatment and deep hydrotreatment, specifically as follows: mechanical impurities are removed from waste lubricating oil, and then the oil is subjected to flash distillation to separate free water and a portion of light hydrocarbons; a bottom product of the flash distillation column is mixed with hydrogen and a self-sulfurizing oil-soluble transition metal catalyst, and then enters a slurry bed reactor for pre-hydrotreatment; a liquid product obtained by performing separation on a reaction effluent is subjected to hydrocyclone separation and solvent washing to remove solid residue, and then a pre-treated lubricating oil component is obtained; said component is mixed with hydrogen and then enters a hydrofining reactor, an isomerization-dewaxing reactor, and a supplementary refining reactor, connected in series, for hydrotreatment; and the reaction products are separated to obtain high-quality naphtha, diesel oil and a lubricating base oil. The method of the present invention has such advantages as simple processing procedures, a high oil liquid yield, good lubricating oil base oil quality, and can implement full-fraction resource utilization of waste lubricating oil. In addition, the oil-soluble catalyst features simple dispersion, no need for vulcanization, a small catalyst adding amount, high low-temperature hydrogenation activity, is capable of effectively preventing the coking that could occur during a process of preheating the waste lubricating oil, and ensures long-term stable operation of the device.

The transport in the cleaning loop includes adding at least one liquid separation aid to contaminated lubricant oil; supplying contaminated lubricant oil to a three-phase centrifugal separator; continuously separating contaminants from the lubricant oil in the separator and continuously discharging a first liquid phase including purified lubricant oil from a liquid light phase outlet of the separator, continuously discharging a second liquid phase including solid contaminants from a liquid heavy phase outlet of the separator and continuously discharging a sludge phase from a sludge outlet by the aid of a conveyor screw of the three-phase separator. The method further includes transporting the first liquid phase including purified oil back to the lubricant oil tank. The present invention further provides a system for carrying out the method.

The present invention relates to a method for efficiently regenerating waste lubricating oil and belongs to the technical field of waste lubricating oil recovery and treatment. The method for efficiently regenerating waste lubricating oil is provided to solve a problem that existing waste lubricating oil has a high metal ion content. The method includes: adding the waste lubricating oil into a reaction vessel, performing a stirring treatment under the action of a cuprous-containing catalyst to form an aggregate, and then performing filtration and separation to directly remove the aggregate, to obtain corresponding regenerated lubricating oil. The present invention can effectively realize separation and removal of a metal ion, directly filter and separate, avoid emulsification, and obtain high quality lubricating oil having a low total metal ion content.

Sustainable lubricant compositions made from recycled thermoplastic polyesters and other reclaimed or biorenewable reactants and a method of formulating them are disclosed. The lubricant compositions comprise a polyester base oil, which incorporates recurring units from a digested thermoplastic polyester, a low-molecular-weight polyol, and C.sub.8-C.sub.24 fatty acid. The base oil has a number-average molecular weight within the range of 300 to 5000 g/mol, a hydroxyl value less than 50 mg KOH/g, and a viscosity at 40 C. less than 5000 cSt. Some of the lubricant compositions comprise the polyester base oil and one or more additives including anti-wear agents, corrosion inhibitors, antioxidants, thickeners, detergents, and the like. The lubricants have properties that rival those of commercial products made from nonrenewable hydrocarbon blends or polyol esters and are useful for many practical applications such as internal combustion engine oils, gear lubrication oils, hydraulic oils, compressor oils, metal working fluids, and lubricating greases.
