Metal working fluid
Aqueous metal working fluids, concentrates thereof, and processes to reduce the presence of Mycobacterium in the aqueous metal working fluids, or in a metal working environment.
Initial running-in agent composition and initial running-in system including said composition
The present invention provides an initial running-in agent composition suitable for forming a low-friction surface (running-in surface) on a sliding member, such as a hard carbon film, in a system in which water is used as a lubricant. The initial running-in agent composition (10) according to an embodiment of the present invention contains water 11 as a lubricant base and nanodiamond particles (12). In the initial running-in agent composition (10), a content of the water (11) is preferably 99 mass % or greater, and a content of the nanodiamond particles (12) is preferably 1.0 mass % or less.
Oilfield Drilling Lubricant for Water-Based and Oil-Based Systems
This disclosure provides compositions comprising a suspension package, wherein the suspension packaging consists of solids for suspending in one or more liquids, wherein the solids comprise at least one of: (1) diamond dust, nano-diamonds, or combinations thereof; (2) tungsten; (3) graphite, graphene, or combinations thereof; and (4) silicon carbide. Further, 0.25% through 6% by volume of the composition, with the one or more liquids being present, in a 14.0 ppg aqueous CaBr.sub.2 solution, provides a coefficient of friction of less than 0.06 at a temperature between 250° F. and 400° F. at any time up through 10 minutes after combination of the 0.25% through 6% by volume of the composition to the 14.0 ppg aqueous CaBr.sub.2.
CONVEYOR LUBRICANTS INCLUDING EMULSION OF A LIPOPHILIC COMPOUND AND AN EMULSIFIER AND/OR AN ANIONIC SURFACTANT AND METHODS EMPLOYING THEM
The present invention relates to conveyor lubricant compositions including an emulsion of a lipophilic compound and also including an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to methods employing such lubricant compositions. In an embodiment, the method includes applying the present lubricant composition to a conveyor with a non-energized nozzle.
Metal working fluid
A metal working fluid having increased resistance to bacterial growth. The metal working fluid includes a cross-linked polymeric ester emulsifier; and an amine represented by the formula (H.sub.2N).sub.a-Q-(NH.sub.2).sub.b, where a and b are each integers, and Q is at least one carbon atom. Q may also be represented by XYZ, where a+b2; X is a cyclic ring system including 3 to 24 carbon atoms; and Y and Z are groups that include at least one carbon atom directly attached to the cyclic ring system. The metal working fluid may also include a biocide, and may also include an amide that is formed by reacting the amine with a carboxylic acid.
MOBILE POWER TOOL AND METHOD
A mobile power tool comprising a drive unit is disclosed. The drive unit has an aqueous lubricant and/or the drive unit is set up for operation with the aqueous lubricant, wherein, before the start of a running-in phase of the drive unit, a bond roughness sigma of two interacting contact surfaces of the drive unit is greater than 0.01 m, preferably at least 0.1 m.
LUBRICANT FOR CONVEYING CONTAINERS
The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a lubricant composition comprising a water-miscible silicone material having a silicone emulsion wherein the silicone emulsion contains less than 500 ppm of a triethanolamine salts of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid compounds.
Top of rail applicator
A top of rail (TOR) applicator has a bar positioned in a housing and an exit orifice on the upper portion of the bar for delivering a friction control composition to the crown of a railhead. The upper portion of the bar slopes away from the friction control composition exit orifices. The bar may be composed of an elastomer such as polyurethane. Passageway extend from an inlet or entry orifice to the exit orifices. The friction reduction composition is pumped into the entry orifice, through the passageways to the exit orifices and then onto the crown of the railhead. The friction reduction composition may be thixotropic.
Coffee lubricant having nanoparticles
A coffee lubricant having nanoparticles is provided. It consists of 36 to 40 wt % of glycerin, 1 to 7 wt % of gum arabic, 0.3 to 1.3 wt % of nanoparticles, and remaining part of coffee biofuel. In which, the nanoparticles are CuO. The coffee biofuel is extracted from coffee dregs and has a viscosity of 60 to 70 cSt at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. It can reduce the friction coefficient and operating temperature. In addition, it can replace the mineral oil.
