The invention provides a grease composition used for lubricating a mechanical part having a steel portion to be lubricated which performs a rolling motion and a rolling and sliding motion, containing a base oil, a thickener and an additive, wherein the additive includes at least one compound selected from the group consisting of polyethylene wax, oxidized polyethylene wax, polypropylene wax, montan wax and amide wax.

Water-based lubricating coating agent for metal material, surface-treated metal material, and method for forming lubricating coating for metal material

Provided is a water-based lubricating coating agent for a metal material, capable of carrying out a chemical conversion treatment and a lubrication treatment at the same time, which makes it possible to achieve excellent lubricity even in plastic working, press molding, and the like, and at the same time, operability (e.g., process shortening, sludge reduction). The water-based lubricating coating agent having pH of 2.0 to 6.5 for a metal material is obtained by blending: at least one lubricating component other than black-based solid lubricants; and at least one chemical conversion component selected from the group consisting of a phosphoric acid compound, an oxalic acid compound, a molybdic acid compound, a zirconium compound, and a titanium compound, the concentration of the lubricating component is 5 mass % or more in mass ratio to the total solid content mass in the lubricating coating agent, and the concentration of the chemical conversion component is 0.3 to 8 mass % when the total mass of the lubricating coating agent is regarded as 100 mass %.

Threaded metallic fastener and process for coating a threaded metallic fastener

A metallic fastener has a threaded portion coated with a composition. The composition includes (a) a paraffin wax with a melting temperature in the range of 50 to 70 C. (b) 1 to 5 parts by weight (pbw) of a resin per pbw of paraffin wax, (c) 0.1 to 0.25 pbw graphite per pbw of paraffin wax, and (d) 0.05 to 0.30 pbw of an FDA-approved silica per pbw of paraffin wax. A process for coating the metallic fastener includes: (i) providing the composition as defined above, (ii) maintaining the fastener or bringing it to a temperature in the range of 30 to 70 C., (iii) applying the composition at a temperature in the range of 100 to 170 C., (iv) optionally, removing surplus composition, (v) cooling the fastener to less than 100 C., (vi) finishing the fastener in a water bath, and (vii) drying the fastener.

Water based wax dispersion comprising a hydrocarbon wax and a dialkylether for coating paper products

The present invention relates to water based wax dispersion comprising a hydrocarbon wax and a dialkylether for the coating of paper products, the use thereof, the method of coating paper products therewith and the coated printed paper product.

Method of expanding a tubular and expandable tubular

A tubular member (1) with a relative rough (1.5-10 m) inner surface (5) coated solid lubricating film (10) which is transformed into a substantially viscous rubbery viscoelasto-plastic phase at temperatures in a range between 50 C. and 110 C. is expanded by moving an expansion member (24) with a relatively smooth outer surface (roughness<1.5 m) therethrough, such that during expansion a viscous viscoelastoplastic substantially rubbery lubricating film (44) is generated between the tubular member (1) and the expansion mandrel (24), which film remains bonded to the rough inner surface (5) of the expanded tubular (1), but does not stick to the relatively hot and smooth expansion member (24).
