A threaded joint for pipes disclosed herein includes a pin and a box. The pin and the box each include a contact surface including a threaded portion and a metal contact portion. The threaded joint for pipes includes a solid lubricant coating on at least one of the contact surfaces of the pin and the box, the solid lubricant coating including a binder, a lubricant additive, an anti-rust additive, and a plasticizer.
Water soluble metalworking concentrate
A water soluble metalworking concentrate is a combination of one or more amines; one or more ferrous corrosion inhibitors; one or more phosphate esters; one or more ether carboxylates; a ricinoleic acid condensate; one or more lubricating agents; deionized water and, optionally, one or more non-ferrous corrosion inhibitors. In use, the concentrate is diluted to a concentration of approximately 5% to approximately 10%. In use, the metalworking fluid exhibits excellent lubricity, low foam generation, emulsion stability, protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, biostatic stability and environmental compatibility.
Lubricating grease composition
A lubricating grease composition, and more specifically, to a lubricating grease composition which, when used with an article clamping device, such as a chuck, produces excellent lubricating properties whilst remaining strongly adhered to metal parts in the clamping mechanism of the device and showing enhanced chemical and physical resistance to fluids such as cutting fluids with which they come into contact.
Candle wax composition and method of making
Wax compositions are provided with improved properties for candles and candle jars. The candle wax composition includes a major amount of a foots oil and minor amount of a 600N slack wax. In one form, the foots oil is a 150N foots oil that is included in the composition at from 70 to 80 weight % of the composition and the 600N slack wax is included in the composition at from 20 to 30 wt % of the composition. The candle wax composition provides substantially no oil bleed and a smooth surface appearance with improved burning properties in terms of soot production, wax consumption, melt pool depth and flame height.

A composition and method for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force of a wire or cable are provided. A composition of aqueous emulsion is provided that is environmentally friendly, halogen free and solvent free. The composition is compatible with various types of insulating materials and may be applied after the wire or cable is cooled and also by spraying or submerging the wire or cable in a bath. The composition contains lubricating agents that provide lower coefficient of friction for wire or cable installation and continuous wire or cable surface lubrication thereafter.
Fluorocarbon, lubricant for use on ice and snow, and coating method
A laminate including a target, a coating film of a lubricant containing a paraffin wax and carbon fluoride formed on the target. The carbon fluoride is graphite fluoride having a proportion of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass relative to the paraffin wax. Further, an amount of the carbon fluoride in a vicinity of a target on which the coating film is formed is larger than an amount of the carbon fluoride on a surface opposite the target. The composition according to the present disclosure is a composition for forming a lubricant coating layer on or above a threaded connection for pipes, and contains polyisobutylene, a metal soap, a wax and a basic metal salt of an aromatic organic acid. The threaded connection for pipes according to the present disclosure includes: a pin having a pin-side contact surface which includes a pin-side threaded portion; a box having a box-side contact surface which includes a box-side threaded portion; and a lubricant coating layer formed from the aforementioned composition as an outermost layer on or above at least one of the pin-side contact surface and the box-side contact surface.
