Novel Anti-oxidant Compounds and Compositions
Trisubstituted triazine antioxidants.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION FOR AND METHOD OF LUBRICATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The invention provides a lubricating composition comprising a low viscosity base oil and a synergistic mixture of a functionalized ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, a poly(meth)acrylate polymer, and a metal-free anti-wear agent. The invention also provides a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine using such a lubricating composition.
Zinc-free lubricating composition
The invention is directed to a zinc-free lubricating composition for an internal combustion engine containing a phosphorus anti-wear agent, an ashless antioxidant, and a metal-free basic detergent. The lubricating composition provides wear protection, deposit control, and improved acid control with reduced levels of metal-containing additives.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION AND COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERATOR
A lubricating oil composition excellent in the wear resistance and a refrigerator oil composition excellent in the oxidation stability using the lubricating oil composition are provided by a lubricating oil composition containing a base oil (A) and a phosphine derivative (B) having one or more oxygen atom in a molecule.
Lubricating composition
Lubricating composition comprising (i) base oil and (ii) a metal-free phosphonate compound having the general formula P(O)(R.sup.1)(OR.sup.2)(OR.sup.3) wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and each independently selected from a straight chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated, C.sub.4-C.sub.22 alkyl group. The lubricating composition of the present invention provides improved engine durability, improved wear and friction reduction, improved fuel economy and excellent oxidative stability.
POLYOLEFIN-DERIVED DISPERSANTS
Ethylene-C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha olefin copolymers, dispersants and lubricating oils/fuel compositions incorporating dispersants, and related methods are generally described herein. The copolymer may comprise ethylene-derived units and C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units. The C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units may have a carbon number from three to ten. For example, the C.sub.3-C.sub.10 alpha-olefin-derived units may be propylene-derived units. The dispersants may be made from copolymers having low metal and/or fluorine contents.
Ionic liquid composition
An ionic liquid composed of nitrogen-free cations and aromatic halogen- and boron-free anions is useful as an additive to prolong the service life of hydrocarbonaceous liquids exposed to nitrogen dioxide contamination, and to provide friction and wear reduction.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
Provided is a lubricating oil composition containing a mineral base oil (A) having a temperature gradient |Dt| of a distillation temperature between two points of a distillation amount of 2.0% by volume and a distillation amount of 5.0% by volume in a distillation curve of 6.8 C./% by volume or less, and an antioxidant (B) containing an amine-based antioxidant (B1), a phenol-based antioxidant (B2), and a phosphorus-based antioxidant (B3), wherein the content of the component (B3) is 0.06 to 1.0% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition is a long-life lubricating oil composition that maintains excellent oxidation stability even for long-term use in a high-temperature environment, and has a high effect of suppressing the generation of sludge for a long period of time.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITIONS FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY ENGINES
The instant disclosure is directed to a method of lubricating a sump-lubricated, high efficiency, gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine. Said method involves supplying to the engine a lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity, an anti-wear agent, an ashless antioxidant, a metal-containing detergent, an ashless polyolefin dispersant, and (f) a polymeric viscosity modifier. The disclosure further provides a method of operating a high efficiency sump-lubricated gasoline-fueled internal combustion engine while maintaining or improving at least one of durability, deposit control, oxidation control, fuel economy, and resistance to knock and stochastic pre-ignition.
Metal Working Fluid Additive Composition
An industrial fluid additive composition comprises one or more sequestering agents one or more compounds of formula (A): (A) wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from substituted hydrocarbyl moieties containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl moieties containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
