Composition of high performance bearing oil for steel plants
The present invention relates to a Zinc free High Performance bearing oil composition for Lubrication of Bearings, Gears & Allied Equipments in Wire Rod Mill (WRM) for Steel Plants.
GREASE COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to a grease composition having a base oil and a thickener that includes hydrophilic metal oxide particles and one or more esters which contain one or more unsaturated C—C bonds and/or at least one OH group. The hydrophilic metal oxide particles have a BET specific surface area of at least 10 m.sup.2/g and at least 80% of the hydrophilic metal oxide particles have a particle size in the range of from 5 nm to 900 μm. The amount of the thickener is in the range of from 0.1-40% by weight, based on the total weight of the grease composition. The invention further relates to methods for manufacturing the grease compositions, and the use of the grease compositions for lubricating bearings, gears and couplings.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
Disclosed is a lubricating oil composition capable of having a good balance of electrical insulation, seizure resistance and wear resistance. In particular, the lubricating oil composition comprises: (A) a lubricant base oil; (B) an alkaline earth metal detergent; (C) a triazole-based compound represented by the following general formula (1) or (2):

wherein R.sup.1-R.sup.6 are as defined herein; (D) at least one sulfur-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a sulfur-containing heterocyclic ether compound and a sulfide compound; and (E) an ashless dispersant.
COMPOUND COMPRISING AMINE, CARBOXYLATE AND BORON FUNCTIONALITIES AND ITS USE AS A LUBRICANT ADDITIVE
A product resulting from the reaction of at least: an alkali or alkaline earth metal hydroxybenzoate compound, optionally substituted by a hydrocarbyl group and optionally overbased, a boron compound, an amine component selected from: a quaternary ammonium salt, compounds including two or three amine functions, wherein at least one amine function is substituted by at least one hydrocarbyl group. A lubricant composition including this product. Use of this product as a lubricant for two-stroke marine engines and four-stroke marine engines, more preferably two-stroke marine engines.
Lubricating oil composition for internal combustion engine
A lubricating oil composition for an internal combustion engine, the composition including: a lubricating base oil comprising at least one mineral base oil or at least one synthetic base oil or any combination thereof, the lubricating base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 4.0 to 4.5 mm.sup.2/s and a NOACK evaporation loss at 250° C. of no more than 15 mass %; (A) a calcium-containing metallic detergent in an amount of no less than 1000 mass ppm and less than 2000 mass ppm in terms of calcium on the basis of the total mass of the composition; (B) a magnesium-containing metallic detergent in an amount of 100 to 1000 mass ppm in terms of magnesium on the basis of the total mass of the composition; and optionally (C) a viscosity index improver in an amount of less than 1 mass % on the basis of the total mass of the composition.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF FORMATION RELATING THERETO
The present disclosure provides a lubricating composition that includes one or more boron-containing compounds and method of forming the same. The lubricating composition includes one or more boron-containing compounds, one or more metal-based detergents, one or more amine-based antioxidants, one or more phenol-based antioxidants, and a base oil balance. The lubricating composition includes greater than or equal to about 60 ppm to less than or equal to about 300 ppm of boron atoms that define the one or more boron-containing compounds; greater than or equal to about 1,100 ppm of metal atoms that define the one or more metal-based detergents; greater than or equal to about 0.70 wt. % to less than or equal to about 2.00 wt. % of the one or more amine-based antioxidants; and greater than or equal to about 0.30 wt. % to less than or equal to about 2.00 wt. %, of the one or more phenol-based antioxidants.
Alkanolamine, friction-reducing agent, and lubricating oil composition
To provide a friction-reducing agent containing no sulfur nor phosphorus and being excellent in friction-reducing properties, and a lubricating oil composition using it. An alkanolamine represented by the following formula is used as a friction-reducing agent: ##STR00001##

A liquid composition which has an excellent coating property at room temperature and is retained on a surface to be coated after application on the surface, and a terminal-fitted electric wire having an increased corrosion resistance using the same. LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS WITH IMPROVED DEPOSIT RESISTANCE AND METHODS THEREOF
Provided is a lubricating oil composition and method of using such a composition that provides for improved high temperature deposit resistance. The composition includes a lubricating oil base stock at from 20 to 95 wt % of the composition, at least one ashless organic friction modifier at from 0.1 to 20 wt % of the composition, and at least one overbased detergent at from 0.1 to 20 wt % of the composition. The remainder of composition includes one or more other lubricating oil additives. The deposit resistance of the lubricating oil composition as measured by TEOST 33C total deposits is at least 20% lower than the deposit resistance for a comparable lubricating oil composition not including the combination of the at least one ashless organic friction modifier and the at least one overbased detergent.
