A lubricant, including, by weight: 80-85 parts of a base oil; 1-2 parts of a methyl-silicone oil; 1-2 parts of polymethacrylate; 2-4 parts of pentaerythritol polyisobutylene succinate; 1-2 parts of di-n-butyl phosphite; 2-3 parts of butylhydroxytoluene; 2-4 parts of an ethylene-propylene copolymer; 1-2 parts of an alkenyl succinate; and 3-5 parts of copper nanoparticles. A method of preparing the lubricant includes: adding the base oil, the methyl-silicone oil, the polymethacrylate, the ethylene-propylene copolymer, the butylhydroxytoluene, the alkenyl succinate to a reactor, and stirring a resulting first mixture under normal temperature and pressure at 300-400 rpm for 3-4 hours, to yield a primary product; and adding the di-n-butyl phosphite, the pentaerythritol polyisobutylene succinate, and the copper nanoparticles to the primary product, and stirring a resulting second mixture at 150-250 rpm for 2-2.5 hours.

System, composition and method of application of same for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force during installation of wire or cable

A composition and method for reducing the coefficient of friction and required pulling force of a wire or cable are provided. A composition of aqueous emulsion is provided that is environmentally friendly, halogen free and solvent free. The composition is compatible with various types of insulating materials and may be applied after the wire or cable is cooled and also by spraying or submerging the wire or cable in a bath. The composition contains lubricating agents that provide lower coefficient of friction for wire or cable installation and continuous wire or cable surface lubrication thereafter.

GEAR LUBRICANT COMPOSITION

The present application relates to a gear lubricant composition comprising: 97 to 99.9 wt.-% trimethylolpropane triester; and 0.1 to 3 wt.-% at least one additive selected from among anti-wear additives, extreme pressure additives, antioxidants, anti-corrosion additives, metal deactivator additives, antifoams, and mixtures thereof.

Disclosed is a lubricating oil composition which comprises: (a) a major amount of an oil of lubricating viscosity having a kinematic viscosity at 100 C. in a range of about 2 to about 50 mm.sup.2/s, (b) an overbased metal salt of an alkyl-substituted phenate detergent, wherein the alkyl group is derived from an isomerized normal alpha olefin having from about 10 to about 40 carbon atoms per molecule and having an isomerization level (I) of the normal alpha olefin of from about 0.1 to about 0.4 in an amount to provide at least 1000 ppm of calcium, (c) one or more magnesium-containing detergents having about 100 to about 1000 ppm of magnesium, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, and (d) one or more zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate compounds derived from a primary alcohol.

A refrigerator oil composition may effectively suppress an increase in an acid value even when a ratio of an unsaturated fluorinated hydrocarbon compound (HFO) in a refrigerant is increased. Such a refrigerator oil composition can used for a refrigerant and may include one or more unsaturated fluorinated hydrocarbon compounds of formula (1):

wherein x is an integer of 2 to 6, y is an integer of 1 to 11, and z is an integer of 1 to 11, and one or more carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds are present in the molecule. The refrigerator oil composition may include a base oil (A), and one or more silicone compounds (B) selected from the group consisting of an unmodified silicone (B1) and a modified silicone (B2), wherein a content of the silicone compound (B) is 0.05% by mass or more based on the total amount of the refrigerator oil composition.

DUAL PHASE LUBRICANTS

Implementations of the disclosed subject matter provide a lubricating oil composition. The composition comprising (a) from 45 to 75 mass % of a low viscosity first base oil component which is a Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100 C. in the range of from 3.5 to 7.0 mm.sup.2/s; (b) from 3 to 35 mass % of a high viscosity second base oil component which is a polyalkylene glycol; and (c) an anti-foam additive which is a non-ionic surfactant. The mass % of the composition is based on the overall mass of the lubricating composition.

Intrinsic low friction polyoxymethylene

A tribologically modified polyoxymethylene polymer composition is disclosed. The polyoxymethylene polymer composition is comprised of a polyoxymethylene polymer and at least one tribological modifier. The tribological modifier may comprise at least one tribological modifier comprising an ultra-high molecular weight silicone having a kinematic viscosity of greater than 100,000 mm.sup.2 s.sup.1. The composition may exhibit a dynamic coefficient of friction against a counter-material of from about 0.01 to about 0.15. The polyoxymethylene polymer compositions provide polymer articles with improved tribological properties and mechanical properties.
