Diluent oils for viscosity modifiers and additive packages
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to diluent oils for viscosity modifiers and additive packages. Embodiments of the present disclosure also generally relate to lubricating oil compositions that include viscosity modifier concentrates and lubricating oil compositions that include additive package concentrates. Improved diluent oils capable of conveniently and cost effectively improving overall lubricant performance are provided.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF
A lubricant composition comprising an oil-soluble polyalkylene glycol; an ester compound selected from the group of natural esters and synthetic esters, and combinations thereof; and an additive mixture comprising an antioxidant and an anticorrosive, wherein the anticorrosive is selected from neutral alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts of sulfonic acids, carboxylic acids, naphthoic acids, naphthenic acids, benzoic acids and phosphoric acids, and derivatives and combinations thereof.
WATER-MISCIBLE FUNCTIONAL FLUID, UNDILUTED STOCK OF WATER-MISCIBLE FUNCTIONAL FLUID, STERILIZER FOR WATER-MISCIBLE FUNCTIONAL FLUID, AND METHOD OF STERILIZING WATER-MISCIBLE FUNCTION FLUID
A water-miscible functional fluid includes: a neutral photosensitizer having an isoalloxazine skeleton; and an antioxidant, wherein the antioxidant is a radical scavenger or a peroxide decomposer.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION
Lubricating composition comprising (i) base oil and (ii) a metal-free phosphonate compound having the general formula P(═O)(R.sup.1)(OR.sup.2)(OR.sup.3) wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and each independently selected from a straight chain or branched, saturated or unsaturated, C.sub.4-C.sub.22 alkyl group. The lubricating composition of the present invention provides improved engine durability, improved wear and friction reduction, improved fuel economy and excellent oxidative stability.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR REFRIGERATING MACHINES, AND REFRIGERATING MACHINE
The lubricating oil composition for a refrigerator of the present invention is a lubricating oil composition for a refrigerator that is used in combination with a refrigerant containing at least one fluorine-containing organic compound selected from compounds represented by the following molecular formula (A):
C.sub.pF.sub.rR.sub.s (A)
wherein R represents Cl, Br, I, or H; p represents an integer of from 2 to 6; r represents an integer of from 1 to 12; and s represents an integer of from 0 to 11, provided that the molecule contains at least one carbon-carbon unsaturated bond, and the lubricating oil composition for a refrigerator contains a base oil and a cyclic organic compound having a cyclic hydrocarbon structure and having one or more non-conjugated double bond in a cyclic structure or a side chain thereof.
A GUANIDINIUM-BASED IONIC LIQUID AND ITS USE AS A LUBRICANT ADDITIVE
A guanidinium-based ionic liquid compound including a 1,1,3,3-tetramethylguanidinium cation and an alcoholate anion. A lubricant composition including it, and its use as a detergent and as anti-corrosion additive in a lubricant composition, in particular a marine lubricant.

The present invention generally relates to lubricating oil compositions comprising a biobased base oil, methods of lubricating an engine with said lubricating oil compositions. Also disclosed is the use of said lubricating oil compositions in an engine.
Hydraulic fluid composition
A hydraulic fluid includes an oil of lubricating viscosity and at least 2 wt. % of an ester of a carboxy group-containing interpolymer comprising units derived from a vinyl aromatic monomer and units derived from a carboxylic acid monomer. The interpolymer also contains nitrogen functionality. The hydraulic fluid is at least substantially free of polyacrylates and polymethacrylates.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING AN ALTERNATIVE TO DI-ISOTRIDECYL ADIPATE
The present invention concerns compositions, and more specifically lubricating compositions, comprising an alternative to di-iso tridecyl adipate (DITA). The present invention therefore discloses compositions comprising di-(2-hexyldecyl) succinate, advantageously from a renewable source, and the uses thereof as lubricating compositions, in particular as hydraulic oils or engine oils.
Refrigeration oil composition
The refrigeration oil composition for HFC-based refrigerants or HC-based refrigerants of the invention includes a product of the esterification of an alcohol ingredient including pentaerythritol and dipentaerythritol and a fatty acid ingredient including at least one of a linear or branched fatty acid having 5 carbon atoms and a linear or branched fatty acid having 6 carbon atoms and at least one of a linear or branched fatty acid having 8 carbon atoms and a linear or branched fatty acid having 9 carbon atoms, wherein at least one of the fatty acid having 5 carbon atoms and the fatty acid having 6 carbon atoms in the fatty acid ingredient accounts for 20 to 100% by mol of the total amount of the fatty acid ingredient, and either the alcohol ingredient or the fatty acid ingredient is a mixture.
