(where 15t10), as measured using a rotary rheometer at an angular velocity of 6.3 rad/s, of 10 Pa.Math.s/ C. or less, and one or more compounds selected from a phenol-based compound (B) and an amine-based compound (C), and which has a viscosity index of less than 160. The vacuum pump oil has a good ultimate vacuum degree and is excellent in water separability, oxidation stability and shear stability, and is therefore applicable to various applications.

Provided is a lubricating oil composition comprising a base oil (A) containing a polyalkylene glycol (A1) and a polyol ester (A2), a phosphorus-based rust inhibitor (B), and an antioxidant (C) containing an amine-based antioxidant (C1). The lubricating oil composition exhibits a strong effect for suppressing sludge sedimentation even when used for an extended period of time in a high-temperature environment, and has excellent demulsibility and rust preventive properties, and therefore, can be suitably used in turbomachinery, compressors, hydraulic equipment, and machine tools.

SOLVENCY ENHANCER COMPOSITIONS, METHODS OF PREPARATION AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

Disclosed are solvency enhancer compositions, for example, as additives to lubricating oils and as formulated in lubricating oil compositions and associated methods of preparation and use thereof. The compositions and methods can dissolve at least one of oxidation products and other organic polar compounds, due to lubricant degradation, formed and suspended in oil compositions including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oils, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols. Further described are methods for dissolving organic deposits in an oil system including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oil system, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols. Also provided are methods for preventing sludge and varnish formation in in-service oils including adding an effective amount of a solvency enhancer to the oils, wherein the solvency enhancer includes Guerbet alcohols.

MOLD RELEASE FOR ENGINEERED STONE AND OTHER MOLD RELEASE APPLICATIONS

A homogeneous, aqueous mold release solution including: 5 to 90 wt % water; 3 to 40 wt % polyvinyl alcohol; 0.01 to 3.2 wt % surfactant; 1 to 20 wt % sugar alcohol; 0.005 to 1.05 wt % defoamer; and up to 50 ppm biocide, where a total of all components adds to 100 wt %. The mold release solutions have a viscosity in a range from 20 to 600 cps when measured at 23? C. In another aspect, embodiments disclosed herein relate to a homogeneous, aqueous mold release solution including: 5 to 85 wt % water; 10.5 to 15 wt % polyvinyl alcohol; 0.56 to 0.8 wt % surfactant; 1 to 8 wt % sugar alcohol; 0.01 to 0.3 wt % defoamer; and up to 50 ppm biocide, wherein a total of all components adds to 100 wt %. Also disclosed are films prepared from the mold release solutions, as well as methods of coating a substrate using such mold release solutions.

Further aspects of the invention relate to a lubricant composition comprising an ether carboxylic acid of the invention and the use of said ether carboxylic acid.

The application relates to compositions comprising di-fatty-alkyl or -alkenyl polyalkylamines of the general formula (I) or (II), to a process for their preparation which involves a cyanoethylation step and a hydrogenation step, and their use as demulsifiers for oil-in-water emulsions, corrosion inhibitor, fuel additive, anti-scaling agent, asphalt additive, enhanced oil recovery agent for oil-wells, cutting-oil additive, and anti-static agent. The product show good performance combined with a favourable viscosity profile.

A stable lubricant emulsion composition for use in engine and gear applications is provided. The emulsion includes a base petroleum oil, an aqueous salt solution that functions as a friction/wear modifier, and a polymeric non-ionic surfactant composition having a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value in the range of 2.5 to 7 and an average molecular weight in the range of 1,000 to 3,000. The surfactant composition may include a polyester surfactant, a PIB succinimide surfactant, a PIB amine surfactant, or a mixture thereof.
