A lithium-based grease and the preparation method thereof are provided. The raw materials for preparing the lithium-based grease include in parts by weight: 75-88 parts of base oil, 0.5-2.5 parts of antiwear agent, 0.1-1.5 parts of antirust agent, 0.1-1.5 parts of antioxidant, 5-25 parts of lubricant, 5-15 parts of thickening agent, and 0.6-2.0 parts of saponifying agent. The raw materials also include hydroxyl compound-containing modified graphene containing quaternary ammonium salt or aromatic ring. The grease has good colloid stability and mechanical stability, can greatly improve the antiwear property. More than that, the grease has excellent oxidation resistance, and can significantly shorten the reaction time of the saponification, reduce the reaction temperature of the saponification.

BRINE-TOLERANT LUBRICANTS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME

Brine-tolerant lubricants are provided. The brine-tolerant lubricants may comprise an oil component, a surfactant component, and, optionally, an additive component. In one aspect, the oil component comprises a fatty acid alkyl ester. In one aspect, the surfactant component comprises at least one of an alkoxylated fatty acid and an alkoxylated fatty alcohol. Also provided are methods for increasing the lubricity of a drilling fluid by contacting the drilling fluid with the brine-tolerant lubricants.

Halogen-containing synthetic base oils, and preparation method and use thereof

The present invention provides a class of halogen-containing synthetic base oils, and preparation method and use thereof. The synthetic base oils have introduced with halogen, especially fluorine, wherein the dipole motion of the halogen groups results in dipole interaction between the dipoles of other components and the base oil molecules of dipole-dipole and dipole-induced halogen (especially fluorine), and the interaction force is stronger and more localized than the dispersion force between the molecules of pure hydrocarbon synthetic oils, and thus the performance of the base oils is directly affected. It solved the problem of oil solubility of pure hydrocarbon synthetic oils, and also improved the properties of oxidation resistance and thermal stability.

LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION AND LUBRICATING AGENT USING SAME

An aspect of the present invention relates to a lubricant composition containing at least: (A) 50 to 80 mass % of silicone oil represented by formula (1) below, and having a mass-average molecular weight of 900 to 4000, a ratio (C/Si ratio) of carbon to silicon of 3.03 or higher in the structure, and a viscosity index (VI) of 300 or higher; (B) 10 to 49 mass % of hydrocarbon-based lubricant; and (C) 1 to 10 mass % of antioxidant.

This disclosure relates to a method for improving air release and water separation in a lubricating oil. The method involves formulating a composition comprising at least one lubricating oil base stock as a major component, and one or more lubricating oil additives, as a minor component. The one or more lubricating oil additives include a mixture of antifoam agents. The mixture of antifoam agents includes at least one polysiloxane and at least one acrylate polymer. During operation of a lubricating system containing the lubricating oil, release of entrained air in the lubricating oil is improved, as determined by ASTM D-3427-15, and water separation from the lubricating oil is improved, as determined by ASTM D-1401-18b, as compared to release of entrained air and water separation achieved using a lubricating oil containing other than the mixture of antifoam agents. This disclosure also relates to lubricating oils having a mixture of antifoam agents including at least one polysiloxane and at least one acrylate polymer.
