Luggage case and wheel set therefor
A luggage case 20 has a main container 30 having a parallel piped shape and defining a rectangular block cavity 22. The container 30 includes a base 40i and a narrow rear wall 50. The base 40i includes a wheel base 42 comprising two sets of multi-directional wheels 44i and 44ii. Each wheel set 44i-44ii includes a rigid, beam or rod 46i, 46ii providing a substantially rigid and non-axially compressible structure at each end of the base 40i. The structures 461, 46ii may form part of a wheel base 42 frame or may be simply formed in the interior of the generally stiffly constructed base 40i. The wheel sets 44i, 44ii include wheels 10,10i mounted to mounting points 26a, 26b, and are housed in recesses 24 at extreme ends of the first and second ends of the first and second edges 251, 25ii. Handle arms 51 are housed in widely spaced channels 54 at the extreme sides of the rear wall 50.
Handle for luggage
An ergonomic handle for luggage is provided. In one aspect, the handle comprises at least one palm grip. The handle is attached to a compartment with wheels. The palm grip can be used to push the luggage as the wheels roll over a rolling surface.
Storage device system
A tool storage device system includes a base and a tool storage container removably coupled to the base. The tool storage container slides in a first direction relative to the base to attach the tool storage container to the base, and the tool storage container slides in a second direction, opposite the first direction, relative to the base to remove the tool storage container from the base.
POSITIONABLE WHEELS FOR MOVING OBJECTS OVER STAIRS
The present disclosure is about assemblies containing shiftable parts like three sided open-frames or independent bars with stub-axles. In some embodiments shiftable parts are designed to slide within encompassing tubes. In other embodiments shiftable parts are designed to be turnable by attaching them on pivots. These shiftable components are used for mounting general wheels or multi-wheel star assemblies on them. Such assemblies can be either attached to or built into movable objects like luggage or robots to facilitate their movement over stairs. When the wheels are positioned to keep the body of the movable object away from the edges of the stairs, the object can be moved upstairs and also downstairs without getting scratched. When the wheels are shifted to another position, the objects can be easily moved over flat surfaces. One of these positions will be for storing the object in lesser space.
Luggage case
A luggage case includes expansible sleeping compartment apparatus. The expansible sleeping compartment apparatus comprises at least two housing members which define a volume when closed together for receiving therein or thereon an expansible sleeping compartment in an unexpanded state. The expansible sleeping compartment apparatus is attached to at least one of said housing members. In an expanded state the surfaces of expansible sleeping compartment defines an enclosure with an opening for receiving a person therein.
