Lubricant compositions

A lubricant composition comprises an anti-wear and or/friction modifying additive which is an ester of a fatty acid and a polyol. At least 50% by weight of the additive is in the form of a mono-ester, and is preferably a mono-glyceride. The lubricant composition may be used in an internal combustion engine.

Emulsifier for lubricating oil concentrate

The present disclosure provides a lubricating oil concentrate containing an ethoxylated ether amine and a base oil. The lubricating oil concentrate is capable of forming a stable, low foaming emulsion when added to an aqueous medium and may be useful in metalworking and cleaning fluids.

In metalworking, the amount of sulfur supplied is stabilized in wide temperature and pressure ranges and under an external force, such as a shear force. Thus, a stable iron sulfide film can be formed on the metal surface, and lubricity can be maintained for extended periods. Furthermore, a bulky sulfurized fat or oil with a high molecular weight can be used to form a rigid lubricating oil film with a large oil film thickness on the metal surface and thereby prevent metals from approaching each other. Lubricating oils

A lubricating composition comprises an amide and at least one additive. The amide is the reaction product of a secondary, branched amine and a carboxylic acid. The carboxylic acid may be a monocarboxylic acid or a dicarboxylic acid, including dimer acid. The amide is hydrolytically stable, and may be used to increase the hydrolytic stability of the lubricant composition. Alternatively, the amide may be used to increase the additive solubility or detergency of the lubricant composition.

AQUEOUS COMPOSITION

According to an aspect of the present invention, an aqueous composition contains at least one selected from a group consisting of a carboxylic acid compound represented by the following formula (1), a carboxylic anhydride represented by the following formula (2), and a trimellitic anhydride; a basic compound; and water. In the formula (1), “R” represents an alkanediyl group having 2 to 4 carbons, a vinylene group, or a benzene ring, and “a” represents 2 or 3. In the formula (2), “R” represents an alkanediyl group having 2 to 4 carbons, a vinylene group, or a benzene ring.
