STEEL WIRE ROPE, ELEVATOR PROVIDED WITH STEEL WIRE ROPE, LUBRICANT FOR STEEL WIRE ROPE, AND USE OF LUBRICANT FOR LUBRICATING THE STEEL WIRE ROPE
The object of the invention is a traction sheave elevator and a steel rope that comprises metal as a load-bearing material, such as the suspension rope of an elevator, which rope comprises at least one or more strands laid from metal wires and which rope is lubricated with a lubricant. Another object is the use of the aforementioned lubricant for lubricating a steel rope. The lubricant comprises at least oil and powder substance, which powder substance comprises at least particles whose shape substantially spherical or almost spherical, and preferably the hardness of at least part of the particles is greater than 4 on the Mohs scale.
STEEL WIRE ROPE, ELEVATOR PROVIDED WITH STEEL WIRE ROPE, LUBRICANT FOR STEEL WIRE ROPE, AND USE OF LUBRICANT FOR LUBRICATING THE STEEL WIRE ROPE
A wire rope is disclosed that comprises metal wires, preferably steel wires, as a load-bearing material, which rope comprises at least one or more strands laid from said metal wires and which rope is lubricated with a lubricant. Another object is the use of the aforementioned lubricant for lubricating a steel rope. The lubricant comprises at least oil and powder substance, which powder substance comprises at least particles whose hardness is greater than 4 on the Mohs scale.
A traction sheave elevator comprising such a wire rope as a suspension rope is disclosed, too.
OIL TEMPERED WIRES
An oil tempered wire includes a steel wire and a lubricant coating disposed around an outer circumference of the steel wire, wherein the lubricant coating includes a lubricant component resin and a binder resin, the lubricant component resin is at least one selected from polyacetals, polyimides, melamine resins, acrylic resins and fluororesins, the deposited mass of the lubricant coating is not less than 1.0 g/m2 and not more than 4.0 g/m2, and the surface roughness Rz of the steel wire is not more than 8.0 m.
ANTICORROSIVE AGENT AND TERMINAL FITTED ELECTRIC WIRE
An anticorrosive agent stably protecting a metal surface with maintaining an anticorrosion property at a high temperature, and a terminal-fitted electric wire improved in anticorrosion property by using the agent. The anticorrosive agent contains a high-consistency material (A) containing a lubricant base oil and an amide compound, a composition (B) of a phosphorus compound containing one or more compounds represented by the general formulae (1) and (2) and a metal, and an azole (C). The mass ratio (A):(B) of the high-consistency material (A) and the composition (B) is within a range of 50:50 to 98:2. The content of the azole (C) is 0.5 to 20 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total of (A) and (B).

A metal surface coating composition including a high-consistency material containing a lubricant base oil and an amide compound, and a composition of a phosphorus compound containing one or more compounds represented by the below formulae and a metal, wherein the ratio (a/b) of the number of amide groups (a) and the number of acidic groups (b) is within a range of 1.1 to 6.0: ##STR00001## where X.sup.1 to X.sup.7 represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, R.sup.11 to R.sup.13 represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, wherein at least one of them is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, and R.sup.14 to R.sup.16 represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms wherein at least one of them is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms.
Cable fill composition
A cable fill composition for an optical fiber cable, said cable fill composition comprising (i) a Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil; and (ii) a thickening system, wherein the thickening system comprises at least one block copolymer. The cable fill composition of the present invention provides improvements in rheological characteristics, low temperature properties, and colour stability properties, as well as minimizing the levels of additives such as antioxidants and pour point depressants which need to be used.
SLIDING MEMBER, COMPONENT AND NOISE REDUCING METHOD FOR MECHANICAL APPARATUS, EXCLUDING THOSE USED FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sliding member (excluding that used for an image forming apparatus), which can maintain a satisfactory friction coefficient and reduce generation of a rubbing sound (noise) caused by a continuously sliding member, is provided. A component and a mechanical apparatus using the sliding member, and a method for reducing noise caused from a mechanical apparatus, are also provided. Additionally, a coating agent composition is provided for preparing the sliding member. The sliding member has a lubricating film contacting another member, wherein an arithmetic average roughness Ra based on JIS B0601 (2001) of a surface of the lubricating film is from 0.01-1.0 m, and the lubricating film comprises 100 parts by mass of a coat-formable resin binder (A) and 5 to 200 parts by mass of a solid lubricant (B).
ANTICORROSIVE AGENT AND TERMINAL FITTED ELECTRIC WIRE
An anticorrosive agent including: a high-consistency material having a lubricant base oil and an amide compound, a composition of a phosphorus compound comprising one or more compounds represented by the general formulae (1) and (2) and a metal, and at least one kind of resin selected from a rosin-based resin, a terpene resin, a terpene phenol resin, a phenol resin, a coumarone-indene resin, and a petroleum resin, wherein a mass ratio of the high-consistency material and the composition is within a range of 50:50 to 98:2, and a content of resin is 2 to 20 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total of the high-consistency material and the composition.
Polyester and use of polyester in lubricants
The presently claimed invention is directed to novel polyesters which are obtainable by reacting a mixture comprising at least one C8-C20 Guerbet alcohol, at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid and at least one polyol with a hydroxyl functionality in the range of ?2 to ?6 and the use of these polyesters as a component of lubricating oil compositions.
AQUEOUS LOW FRICTION COATING FOR TELECOMMUNICATION CABLES
A fluoropolymer coating composition comprises: fluorinated homopolymer particles dispersed in water, fluorinated copolymer particles dispersed in water, non-fluorinated polymer particles dispersed in water; and at least one aziridine compound comprising at least two aziridine groups. The composition is especially useful in low friction coating for telecommunication cables.
