IMPROVEMENTS IN METHODS AND SYSTEMS REQUIRING LUBRICATION
Methods and systems in which a shapable mass, which is processed according to the method or in the system, has a lubricant applied thereto. As it is processed in the system, the shapable mass having the lubricant applied thereto is used to transfer lubricant to a part or parts of the system.
Composition for sliding member
A composition for sliding member includes a binder resin, a solid lubricant, and an epoxy modified silicone oil having an epoxy group at both ends or at one end thereof. A weight ratio of the binder resin and the epoxy modified silicone oil is 97:3 to 75:25.
Composite Bearing with Enhanced Wear and Machinability
A self-lubricating composite material is disclosed. The self-lubricating composite material can include discontinuous polymer fiber segments dispersed within a woven matrix of semi-continuous thermoplastic fiber. The woven matrix can be embedded within a thermosetting resin. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the self-lubricating composite material.
Polyurea crosslinked particles for transport device member, sliding member and method of preparing polyurea crosslinked particles for transport device member
Polyurea crosslinked particles for a transport device member are provided that have high acid resistance, increase long-term retainability when included in a coating film, and are capable of maintaining a high sliding property for a long time. The polyurea crosslinked particles for a transport device member are particles formed of reactants of a self-emulsifying isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups and a non-self-emulsifying isocyanate having two or more isocyanate groups and having a ring structure in the presence of water and a crosslink density thereof is 1×10.sup.−4 mol/g or more.
Solid lubricant and sliding member having solid lubricant embedded therein
Provided are: a solid lubricant having a low friction coefficient and excellent abrasion resistance; and a sliding member having this solid lubricant embedded therein. The solid lubricant (4) has a sea-island structure, comprising: a sea phase as a continuous phase, containing a hydrocarbon-based wax and a polyethylene resin; and an island phase as a dispersion phase, containing a low-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene resin, a higher fatty acid salt, a phosphate of basic nitrogen-containing compound, and zinc stannate. A high-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene resin is contained in this continuous-phase sea phase in a fibrous and mesh state. The hydrocarbon-based wax content is 30-60 vol %, the polyethylene resin content is 3-10 vol %, the low-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene resin content is 10-30% vol %, the higher fatty acid salt content is 20-40% vol %, the basic nitrogen-containing compound phosphate content is 0.5-5 vol %, the zinc stannate content is 0.5-5 vol %, and the high-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene resin content is 1-10 vol %.
SLIDING MEMBER
A sliding member includes a back metal layer and a sliding layer on the back metal layer. The sliding layer includes a synthetic resin matrix and graphite particles dispersed in the matrix in a volume ratio of 5-50% of that of the sliding layer. The graphite particles are composed of spheroidal and flake-like particles. The flake-like particles have a volume ratio of 10-40% of total graphite particles. The spheroidal particles have a cross-sectional structure with a plurality of AB planes of a graphite crystal laminated along a curved particle surface, from the surface toward a center direction. The flake-like graphite particles have a cross-sectional structure with the plurality of AB planes laminated in a thickness direction of the thin plate shape. The spheroidal particles have an average particle size of 3-50 μm, and the flake-like graphite particles have an average particle size of 1-25 μm.
Solid particle, solid lubricant, and metal member
The present invention aims to provide solid particles with improved lubrication, a solid lubricant including the solid particles, and a metal member including, on the surface thereof, the solid particles or the solid lubricant. The solid particles of the present invention include base particles and carbon fluoride particles attached to surfaces of the base particles.
Mixtures, articles having low coefficients of friction, methods of making these, and methods of using these
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for mixtures, methods for making mixtures, articles, methods for making articles, and methods of using articles.
Resin composition and sliding member
A resin composition includes: a binder resin made of a thermosetting resin; an additive dispersed in the binder resin, wherein the additive includes PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), and at least one of graphite and MoS.sub.2, an average particle size of each of the additive is less than 10 μm, and an average particle size of the PTFE is larger than the average particle size of graphite and MoS.sub.2.
