Also disclosed is a food composition for a companion animal or a food for human consumption wherein said food composition comprises the above refined PUFA oil and thus having enhanced palatability. Further disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing the above-mentioned refined PUFA oil wherein said method comprises the step of deodorization.
Method for preparing functional edible oil rich in phytosterol esters and diglycerides
A method for preparing functional edible oil rich in phytosterol esters and diglycerides includes steps of: 1) adding a raw material: adding phytosterol, triglyceride and a molecular sieve into a reactor, wherein a ratio of the phytosterol and the triglyceride is 1:2-1:4, a molecular sieve amount is 50 g/L; heating to 50-60° C. and stirring for 30-60 min, for obtaining a pre-mixture; 2) providing non-aqueous enzymatic transesterification: adding 5-20 g/L lipase into the pre-mixture, adding 100-200 ppm antioxidant, stirring and reacting for 8-12 h with a temperature of 50-60° C. and an atmospheric pressure, stopping heating and naturally cooling to a room temperature; and 3) post-treating: after reaction, removing the lipase and the molecular sieve by centrifugation, for obtaining the functional edible oil. The functional edible oil rich in two nutritional active components is obtained by the one-step method. Products of the present invention do not need separation and purification, and operation is simple.
Process and apparatus for purifying a fatty mixture and related products including fuels
There is described a process and an apparatus for purifying a mixture and related products. In particular, there is described a process and an apparatus for purifying a mixture comprising fats, oils and greases as are typically found in sewer waste. The process involves heating, acidifying and separating the mixture. The apparatus used includes a heating and separation device for separating into a solid fraction, an organic liquid fraction and an aqueous liquid fraction. Apparatus such as a three phase separation unit and a rotary vacuum filter may also be used.

Process for converting low and high free fatty acid containing oils into no free fatty acid containing oils and associated systems and devices
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to the conversion of high free fatty acid (“HFFA”) containing oils defined as oils containing 20-100% free fatty acids (“FFA”) and low free fatty acid (“LFFA”) containing oils defined as oils containing 1-20% free fatty acids (FFA) into oil with less than about 0.5-1% FFA. If the feedstock is HFFA oil, the process includes a combination of partial glycerolysis of HFFA oils to produce LFFA oils and subsequent stripping of LFFA oils to produce NFFA oils via steam distillation. If the feedstock is LFFA oil, the process includes stripping of LFFA oils to produce NFFA oils via steam distillation and subjecting FFA to partial glycerolysis to convert FFA to oil.

Biorefining of crude tall oil
The present invention pertains to a process for refining of crude tall oil (CTO). The process comprises fractionation under vacuum of a refined CTO into at least one stream of refined tall diesel (RTD) or tall oil fatty acids (TOFA), the RTD or TOFA comprises from 2-30% by volume of resin acids and from 20-90% by volume of fatty acids, and at least one stream of resin acid(s) (RA) comprising less than 5% by volume of fatty acids. The stream of RTD or TOFA is deoxygenated forming hydrocarbon compounds in a subsequent step. This invention also relates to a refined tall diesel. Furthermore, a process for the production of a refined tall diesel (RTD) composition, wherein crude sulphate turpentine(s) (CST) is added to the refined tall diesel (RTD) composition, is described.
