The load rail comprises an elongated body formed of a dimensionally stable material having first and second end portions. The end portions may take the form of depending feet for attaching to the pack via fasteners. A plurality of load rails may be provided along one side of the pack, such as opposite the side including one or more straps for being worn by a user, and may associate with a connector for connecting gear to the pack via the load rails. When mounted, an intermediate portion of the or each load rail may be raised above and spaced from a surface of the pack to facilitate receipt of a portion of the connector.

In some aspects, the retractable strap may be moved into different orientations on the bag rather than a stagnant placement throughout the use of the bag. In some embodiments, the bag may have several interior and exterior accessory panels that allow for limitless combinations of accessories to be added for maximum customization from bag to bag. In some implementations, the bag and frame may be made up of different materials depending on the intended use of the bag. In some embodiments, the retractable strap may have different length control mechanisms, allowing the strap to be retractable no matter the orientation. In some implementations, the retractable strap may extend via a constant force spring. In some aspects, the rotational force of the extension of the constant force spring may provide a constant force.

Multi-compartment deflatable carryon luggage provides a system with a plurality of bags. The bags can connect to each other and release from each other. When a traveler is packing fewer items, the traveler can detach unneeded bags and only take the bags that are needed. When additional items are needed, more of the bags can be added and connected to each other. In the case of a carryon bag, the bags forming the carryon luggage have a combined size that complies with airline carryon baggage requirements for a single bag. To increase the amount stored in each bag, a deflatable airtight bag is included inside each bag of the luggage. Before being deflated, the deflatable bag has a volume that is greater than the volume of the bag in which the deflatable airtight bag is disposed. After being deflated, the deflatable airtight bag has a volume no larger than the volume of bag in which the deflatable airtight bag is disposed. A pump can be integrated in the luggage. The pump is used to pump the air from the airtight bag after it has been packed.

An airplane tray cover multi-compartment holder system and method for holding and transporting a plurality of airplane tray covers. The system and method generally includes a case with a plurality of individual compartments for holding a tray cover isolated from other compartments. Individual compartments are defined by an arrangement of exterior and interior panels and surfaces. Each compartment has a corresponding door that is pivotable between open and closed positions. Each door has a window through which tray covers can be viewed without opening the door. A window may include a movable spring-biased latch for automatically latching the door to a stationary latch on the case as the door closes. The tray covers and compartments may have indicia that uniquely identify them. A tether with magnetic elements on its ends may be selectively attached to the case by joining the magnetic elements.
