A compound is provided of Formula (I)

##STR00001##

wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.3 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbon group derived from an alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, from a formate of formula R.sup.1OCHO, or a cinnamyl aldehyde of Formula (II)

##STR00002##

wherein a compound of Formula I is capable of releasing a compound, when oxidized, selected from the group consisting of a fragrant alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, a fragrant formate ester of formula R.sup.1OCHO and aryl aldehyde of Formula (III)

##STR00003##

wherein R.sup.2 is, independently, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, optionally substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl group, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy group, or O(CO)CH(CH3).sub.2 wherein any two of R.sup.2 may form an optionally substituted 5 or 6 membered ring. The compounds are useful for example as a precursor for the prolonged delivery or release of fragrant compounds such as fragrant alcohols, fragrant aldehydes or fragrant formates.

ETHANOL-FREE MICROEMULSION PERFUMING COMPOSITIONS
20170267943 · 2017-09-21 ·

The present invention provides a perfuming composition that is free of ethanol and that is in the form of a transparent, clear microemulsion that contains a fragrance at a concentration of 0.5 to 50% by weight; a solvent at a concentration of 1 to 36% by weight; a non-ionic surfactant at a concentration of 1 to 35% by weight; an ionic surfactant at a concentration of 0 to 12% by weight, a cooling hydrotrope at a concentration of 0.01 to 12% by weight and water. Said microemulsions benefit from the presence of a cooling hydrotrope which allows lowering the amount of surfactant needed and provides a cooling effect.

POLYALKOXY-POLYIMINE ADDUCTS FOR USE IN DELAYED RELEASE OF FRAGRANCE INGREDIENTS

Disclosed is a fragrance adduct that is a reaction product between a polymeric amine and a reactive fragrance ingredient. The polymeric amine contains a backbone and at least one amino functional group, the reactive fragrance ingredient is an aldehyde, a ketone, an ,-unsaturated electrophilic compound reactive towards the polymeric amine, or a combination thereof, and the reaction product is an imine compound or a Michael addition adduct. The fragrance adduct can be formulated into a fragrance composition, household product, personal care product, hair care product, or beauty care product. Also disclosed is a method for sequestering a fragrance using the fragrance adduct.

SOLVENT EXTRACTION OF OIL FROM DISTILLERS DRIED GRAINS AND METHODS OF USING EXTRACTION PRODUCTS
20170183604 · 2017-06-29 ·

A process for extraction of crude oil from distillers dried grain solubles and/or distillers dried grains and producing corn distillers meal that may be used as a livestock supplement is disclosed. For example, the corn distillers meal may be used as a crude protein supplement for use in a livestock feed diet or a poultry feed diet. The solvent extracted crude oil may be suitable for oleochemical processing for personal care and home care products, biodiesel production, and/or renewable diesel production from hydro-treating the extracted oil to make green diesel fuel.

Process for Making Fragrance Compositions

A process of making fragrance compositions by adding solvents with different polarity before and after a filtering step to accelerate precipitation of e.g. waxy carry-overs from perfume oils.
