Freshening compositions and devices comprising same
The present invention relates to freshening compositions and devices comprising same that comprise a composition comprising malodor reduction compositions and methods of making and using such compositions. Such malodor control technologies do not unduely interfere with the scent of the perfumed or unperfumed situs that is treated with the malodor control technology.
SUPERABSORBENT POLYMER AND THE METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME
A superabsorbent polymer includes polymeric particles, surface cross-linking agents and an extract of a plant of Sapindaceae. The polymeric particles have cross-linking inside the polymeric particles. The surface cross-linking agents are covalently bound to the surface of the polymeric particles so as to constitute a layer of surface cross-linked region at the surface of each polymeric particle, and the extract of the plant of Sapindaceae covers the surface of the polymeric particles.
FRAGRANCE COMPOSITIONS WITH MOISTURIZING BENEFITS
Described herein is a method of using a composition including a fragrance component, where the fragrance component is present in an amount of from about 0.1% to 96% relative to the total weight of the composition where the fragrance component comprises one or more perfume ingredients selected from a specific list. The method includes using the composition as a skin moisturizer.
FRACTIONATION OF FRANKINCENSE RESIN USING SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE
A method for extracting successively essential oil, incensole derivatives and boswellic acids from frankincense resin.
Fragrance or Aroma Compositions Accepted or Preferred by Pets
The present invention relates to novel fragrance or aroma/flavour compositions, that are accepted or preferred by pets, in particular pet fragrance or pet aroma/flavour compositions. The invention also relates to the use of such fragrance or aroma/flavour compositions for preparing a perfumed or flavored product, in particular a perfumed or flavored pet product that is pet accepted or pet preferred. Furthermore, the invention relates to perfumed products or flavored product comprising the fragrance or aroma/flavour composition. Finally, the present invention pertains to a method for scenting a pet, a product or a room by applying the fragrance composition or perfumed product.
USE OF SUBSTITUTED CYCLOPENTENONES AND CYCLOPENTANONES AS AROMA INGREDIENTS
The present invention relates to use of at least one compound of formula (I) as aroma ingredient. The compound of formula (I) is used to impart an aroma impression which is reminiscent of a sweet note, technical note, tobacco note, balsamic note, herbal note, fruity note, woody note, pine needle note, eucalyptus note, powdery note, or a combination of two or more notes to a composition and also enhancing and/or modifying the aroma of a composition. The present invention is further directed to a composition comprising compound of formula (I) and (i) at least one aroma chemical different from compound of formula (I) or (ii) at least one non-aroma chemical carrier, or (iii) both (i) and (ii).
Perfume Compositions
A perfume complement comprising one or more compounds selected from compounds present in the fraction of patchouli oil having a Kovats Retention Index on a DB-5 column of 1500 or lower and/or olfactively equivalent perfume ingredients
CYCLOPROPANATION OF SUBSTITUTED ALKENES
Disclosed is a cyclopropanation process comprising the step of reacting an alkene compound having at least one carbon-carbon double bond with at least one dihaloalkane. The reaction is carried out in the presence of (i) particulate metal Zn, (ii) catalytically effective amount of particulate metal Cu or a salt thereof, (iii) at least one haloalkylsilane, and (iv) at least one solvent.
BIOTECHNOLOGICAL MANUFACTURE OF VETIVERYL ESTERS
The invention relates to a vetiveryl ester comprising at least 0.5 weight percent of secondary alcohol compounds with respect to the total weight of the vetiveryl ester and to a process for the preparation a vetiveryl ester, the process comprising: providing a vetiver oil, at least one enzyme preparation and at least one acylating compound; and allowing sufficient time for the enzyme preparation to esterify the alcohol compounds of the vetiver oil with the acylating compound. The invention also relates to a vetiveryl ester obtainable by the above process, a fragrance composition comprising an above-mentioned vetiveryl ester and the use of an above-mentioned vetiveryl ester for the preparation of a perfumed product.
(3R) epimer of octahydro-7,7-dimethyl-8-methylene 1H-3a, 6-methanoazulene-3-yl acetate, composition, synthesis process and use of said epimer
The first subject matter of the invention is the (3R) epimer of octahydro-7,7-dimethyl-8-methylene-1H-3a,6-methanoazulen-3-yl acetate [(octahydro-7,7-dimethyl-8-methylene-[3R,3aR,6R,8aR]-1H-3a,6-methanoazulen-3-yl acetate) or (R)-norzizaenylacetate] of formula I (I). The subject matter of the invention is also compositions comprising (R)norzizaenyl acetate and also a novel synthesis process and the use of said ester.
