A reversible handbag comprises front, back, bottom, first side, and second side panels configured together to form a handbag with the bottom panel permanently joined to the bottom side of the front, back, first side, and second side panels. The remaining sides of the front, back, first side, and second side panels removably attach to corresponding others sides of the front, back, first side, and second side panels at various seams so that, when so attached, exterior surfaces of the panels form a bag exterior and interior surfaces of the panels form a bag interior, to reverse the handbag from exposing the bag exterior to exposing the bag interior, the panels are temporarily detached from one another at the seams and, thereafter, reattached in a different configuration. An interior sack removably attaches to the bag interior to be a lining of the handbag and act as a bag content receptacle.

Thus, once the factory manufactured and packed article has been opened, the folding accessory can be formed as a container simply by folding its various facets along the respective lines, and inserting strengthening tabs into pre-prepared cuts.

The webbing can be inwardly biased such that when the walls are urged from the second to the first configuration, the webbing folds toward the interior of the convertible device.
