Concept for the production of food with reduced environmental impact
Edible organic compounds which can serve as food or feed, or as components of food or feed, are synthesized from oxidized carbon and water, through the input of energy, and using well-known and validated synthesis pathways, leading to free fatty acids and optionally esterified to triglycerides. The source of carbon is preferably CO.sub.2 from the atmosphere, or more preferably point sources of CO.sub.2 from industry and/or energy production.

FATTY GLYCERIDE PREPARATION METHOD
The present invention provides a fatty glyceride preparation method, comprising converting fatty acid short-chain alcohol ester into fatty glyceride basic mixture by sequentially carrying out a normal-pressure reaction and a vacuum reaction in the nitrogen condition in the temperature of 80 C. to 150 C.; and meanwhile adding a basic catalyst and glycerin or adding a basic catalyst and a glycerin derivative into the fatty acid short-chain alcohol ester, so as to implement a conversion from the fatty acid short-chain alcohol ester to the fatty glyceride. Conditions of the preparation method are relatively moderate, and the structure of the fatty acid is not damaged in the reactions; the yield of the glyceride is high, compositions of the glyceride are stable and controllable, glyceride products having a high content of triacylglycerol can be obtained; the process is simple, costs are low, and the fatty glyceride is applicable to industrial production.
OIL/FAT COMPOSITION
A fat or oil composition, including a fat or oil. A content of diacylglycerols in the fat or oil is from 60 mass % to 100 mass %, a content of eicosapentaenoic acid in constituent fatty acids of the diacylglycerols is from 15 mass % to 99 mass %, and a content (X) of the diacylglycerols and a content (Y) of the eicosapentaenoic acid satisfy a relationship of the following expression (1):
X?0.6+Y>60(1)
where X represents the content (mass %) of the diacylglycerols in the fat or oil, and Y represents the content (mass %) of the eicosapentaenoic acid in the constituent fatty acids of the diacylglycerols.
REMOVAL OF UNWANTED MINERAL OIL HYDROCARBONS
The present invention relates to a process for reducing the content of MOSH and/or MOAH in lauric oil, wherein the process is comprising the step of: a) Splitting a lauric oil into a fatty acid fraction and an aqueous glycerol fraction, b) purifying the fatty acid fraction from step a) into whole distilled lauric oil fatty acids, and c) esterifying the whole distilled lauric oil fatty acids from step b) and glycerol, and obtaining a MOSH and/or MOAH-reduced lauric oil.
Bio-derived composition for dust control
Bio-derived glycerides formed from a reaction between waste glycerol and biodegradable or bio-derived fatty acid esters such as crude biodiesel or soybean oil triglycerides are useful as dust suppressants.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LUBRICITY ADDITIVE FOR FUEL HAVING A LOW SULFUR CONTENT
A process for manufacturing a lubricant additive for internal combustion engine fuel, especially for diesel fuel, in which the additive is derived, especially directly, from the esterification of acid oils, such acid oils are especially coming from the acidification of neutralization paste obtained via a process for refining, preferably a process for chemical refining, and especially a process for saponifying, one or more oils chosen from a plant oil and/or an animal oil, and the lubricant additive is more particularly intended for fuels with a low sulfur content, for example less than 500 ppm (weight).

Processes for obtaining a polyol from palm oil, polyols obtained from the processes, products derived from such polyol and their method of preparation
The present invention relates to the process for production of a polyol from palm oil and of rigid polyurethane foams prepared from said polyol derived from palm oil. On the one hand, this invention provides a method for obtaining monomeric polyols from palm oil that have hydroxyl number between 50 450 mgKOH/g sample. The polyols of the present application may be obtained by means of a procedure based on the following four mother routes: Route 1: maleinisation of the fatty acids of palm oil; Route 2: glycerolysis of palm oil; Route 3: trancesterification of palm oil; and Route 4: epoxidation of unsaturated carbon-carbon links of palm oil. Additionally, other modalities of the invention permit obtaining polyols from the combination of these mother routes. In other realizations of the invention polyurethanes are prepared from polyols obtained through any of the four routes or by combinations of the same.
