CANDLE WAX COMPOSITIONS

The present invention provides a wax formulation that includes about 5 weight percent (wt %) to about 85 wt % of a natural oil-based petrolatum composition based on total weight of the wax formulation; and about 1 wt % to about 95 wt % of a wax material based on total weight of the wax formulation; wherein the natural oil-based petrolatum composition a triglyceride component containing a plurality of hydroxyl containing fatty acid chains and wherein a plurality of the hydroxyl containing fatty acid chains are esterified with a C8-C22 branched or straight chain fatty acid and wherein the natural oil-based petrolatum composition has a drop melting point measured by AOCS Standard Procedure Cc 18-80 of between 35 and 70 C.

CANDLE WICK BOUNCE-BACK
20250297189 · 2025-09-25 ·

The present invention is a candle wick treated, either by being coated with or incorporating, a chemical formulation. Such treated candle wick has properties causing the wick to be stiffened sufficiently that the candle wick is operable to be positioned in a straight (or virtually straight) position within a candle mold for a candle making process, as well as when surrounded by the candle body and during use of the candle (e.g., burning of the candle), and also has flexibility characteristics whereby the wick will return (bounce-back) to its straight or virtually straight position after force is exerted thereupon. No tension need to be exerted upon the wick or any tools used to exert tension to hold it straight in the mold, unlocking one of the foremost bottle-necks in high-speed filling, by taking wick fixing/straightening out of the equation.

Gel candles

Disclosed are candles having a wick, a wax composition, and a gel composition, wherein the wax composition encloses the wick, and the wick is separated from the gel composition. The candle while being burned exhibits one or more desirable properties, such as reduced levels of soot or reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

POLYMERIC COMPOSITION

A candle for air purification includes a wax composition includes a blend of long-chain waxes, medium-chain waxes, and short-chain waxes. The long-chain waxes are present in an amount of 0-15% of a total composition of the wax composition, the medium-chain waxes are present in an amount of 60-100% of the total composition of the wax composition, and the short-chain waxes are present in an amount of 0-15% of the total composition of the wax composition. The candle also includes a plurality of metal nanoparticles embedded within the wax composition. The plurality of nanoparticles are less than 50 nm in size and are composed of alloy metals. The candle also includes a wick for burning the wax composition.

METHOD OF MAKING A GEL WAX CANDLE, SETTING, OR CENTERPIECE HAVING OBJECTS SUSPENDED IN THE GEL WAX
20250382541 · 2025-12-18 ·

A gel wax candle, setting, or centerpiece is made by pouring gel wax into a container and allowing it to harden, and then reheating the hardened gel wax to a temperature sufficient to partially melt the gel wax and thereby allow objects placed on a top surface of the gel wax to sink into the gel wax by a predetermined amount that depends on the density or viscosity of the gel wax, and the shape, size, composition and/or weight of the objects.

A Method of Manufacturing a Scented Candle

A method of manufacturing a scented candle is disclosed, wherein the candle comprises a wax or gel body, at least one wick and a fragrance or fragrance composition included in the wax or gel body. The method comprises: Providing a wax or a gel for forming the wax or gel body, providing a fragrance or a fragrance composition to be added to the wax or gel, providing at least one wick to be integrated into the wax or gel body, wherein the wick partially protrudes from the wax or gel body such that it can be lighted, and combining the wax or gel with the fragrance or fragrance composition and the at least one wick, to form the scented candle. Said providing of the fragrance or fragrance composition includes deliberately selecting the fragrance respectively fragrance composition based on its flashpoint and/or alcohol content, wherein the flashpoint is at least 82.5 C. If the alcohol content is higher than 18 wt. %, a lactones content of the fragrance respectively fragrance composition preferably is at most 1.7 wt %.
