A drain treatment system includes a supply interface, a drainage interface, a water distribution assembly, a pod housing, and a controller. The supply interface is configured to connect to a water supply, the drainage interface is configured to connect to a drain, and the distribution assembly is configured to receive water from the water supply via the supply interface. The pod housing is configured to retain at least one pod containing a drain treatment compound, and the controller is configured to control a transfer of the water from the water distribution assembly to the pod housing, wherein the water is configured to carry the drain treatment compound from the at least one pod to the drainage interface for delivery to the drain.

Moderately alkaline cleaning compositions for proteinaceous and fatty soil removal at low temperatures

The present invention comprises chlorinated and non-chlorinated alkaline cleaning compositions for removal of proteinaceous and fatty soils at low temperature, i.e. less than 120° F., with little or no deleterious affect on cleaning performance. According to the invention, applicants have found that adding additional alkalinity makes protein removal more difficult and reducing the amount of alkalinity actually improves performance. According to the invention optimized combinations of chlorine and alkalinity components for low temperature cleaning as well as a surfactant system optimized for low temperature fatty soil removal are disclosed.

Present invention relates to a detergent composition and a method for preparing the composition. The composition may be a compressed tablet, a coated tablet, in form of small granules or pearls packed in a dose unit. The composition may also be formulated so as to be an effervescent composition. The detergent composition may conveniently be used in the food industry for cleaning of appliances in food processing and preparation or in the metal industry for cleaning of appliances with respect to soot or oil residues.

Enhancement of the sporicidal efficacy of alcohol and peroxide compositions

The present invention relates to a liquid composition comprising: a) at least one alcohol; b) at least one hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon mixture; c) at least one peroxide agent; d) water. The compositions of the invention possess antimicrobial and enhanced sporicidal properties.

Enhanced peroxygen stability using anionic surfactant in TAED-containing peroxygen solid

Stabilized compositions employing a binding system for improving shelf stability of an activated bleach composition containing a peroxygen source and a catalyst activator are disclosed. Stabilized compositions employ a binding system comprising an anionic surfactant for a solid formulation of a catalyst activator and peroxygen source to provide shelf stability for an activated bleach composition. Methods of formulating and use are further disclosed.

AUTOMATIC DISHWASHING METHOD

A method of cleaning soiled ware in a dishwasher, the method having the step of delivering a phosphate-free cleaning composition using a multi-dosing system, the composition comprising bleach, metal bleach catalyst and a complexing agent and wherein the complexing agent is slowly released as compared to the bleach catalyst.

Liquid surfactant-containing alkanolamine-free compositions

Liquid compositions include: a) one or more anionic surfactants and b) one or more nonionic surfactants,
wherein they comprise the surfactants of components a) and b) in a total concentration of >25% by weight, based on the total weight of the liquid composition, and are free from alkanolamines and salts thereof. Upon combination with bleaches, the liquid compositions exhibit a significantly higher bleaching efficacy than comparable alkanolamine-containing compositions.

Methods and compositions for the generation of peracetic acid on site at the point-of-use

Methods for the generation of non-equilibrium solutions of peroxyacetic acid are disclosed. These methods comprise introducing triacetin and aqueous hydrogen peroxide to water, mixing, and then adding an aqueous source of an alkali metal or earth alkali metal hydroxide. Triacetin is converted rapidly and with a high conversion rate into peracetic acid. These methods produce solutions with a high level of peracetic acid.
