The present invention concerns a composition comprising manganese containing catalyst salts, a water-soluble polymer and a polysaccharide absorbent. The invention also concerns a method of making such compositions, preferably in the form of a granule, and bleaching formulations comprising the salt and a peroxy compound or precursor thereof. The catalyst salt containing composition and formulations comprising it, are suitable for use in catalysing oxidation, for example as a component of a laundry or dishwasher bleaching composition. The invention further relates to cleaning agents comprising the compositions described herein.

Natural green, environmentally friendly solid soap compositions and methods of manufacturing and using the same are provided with easy dispersal in water and self thickening to produce liquid soaps. The natural soap compositions contain potassium fatty acid carboxylates and preferably potassium chloride but may alternately contain potassium bromide or potassium iodide. There is a need for natural, green, environmentally friendly soaps as well as eco green packaging. Recent systems have managed eco packaging but continue to rely on synthetic non-natural fossil fuel based soaps. The inventive natural solid soaps do not require plastic or similar packaging for liquids and can be shipped as a solid bar, granules, powder, etc. and diluted very easily by the end user. Preferably the soaps are small bars that easily fit into a dispenser bottle offering versatility in concentration, lather, and thickness

A novel binder and/or disintegrant for obtaining a compressed solid composition for non-oral use, the binder and/or disintegrant being fermented molasses, a process for preparing the compressed solid composition and also a binding and/or disintegrating composition, which includes at least fermented molasses. The fermented molasses advantageously makes it possible to replace synthetic binders conventionally used in compressed solid compositions, while also being able to act as a disintegrant on contact with a liquid, especially water. Thus, a novel way is proposed for utilizing a product which was hitherto solely used in the field of agriculture and livestock farming.

The solidified surfactant compositions can be useful in various cleaning compositions.

The invention relates to a method of making solid cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature using excess water and subjecting the emulsion to cooling and solidification, wherein the water content is reduced. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to the novel solid cleansing compositions formed therefrom.

A solid, particulate composition having at least one water-soluble carrier material, at least one fragrance and at least one rheology modifier from the group of heteroglycans. The carrier material being a water-containing salt (hydrate) of which the water vapor partial pressure, at a specific temperature in the range of from 30 to 100° C., corresponds to the H.sub.2O partial pressure of the saturated solution of this salt, such that the salt melts at this temperature in its own water of crystallization. Furthermore, the invention relates to methods for preparing the solid composition and to a washing or cleaning agent containing the solid composition. Moreover, the present invention also relates to the use of such a washing or cleaning agent for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces and corresponding methods for cleaning textiles or hard surfaces using such a washing or cleaning agent.
