Methods directed to using the composition are also disclosed. A composition that cleans and also reduces the defects present on the external surface of containers during a wash cycle is disclosed. The composition may or may not have metallic salts.
Use of an ionic liquid and alcohol blend to modify the rheology of polyethoxylated alcohol sulfates
In one embodiment, a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition is provided which includes a polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate, such as sodium laureth ether sulfate (SLES), water, an ionic liquid, and an alcohol. The ionic liquid and the alcohol form a synergistic blend, enabling a significant reduction of the viscosity of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition. Also provided is an embodiment of a method for modifying the rheology of polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate by use of an ionic liquid and alcohol blend. Finally provided is an embodiment of a detergent composition which is prepared by use of the polyethoxylated alcohol sulfate composition described herein, in addition to other commonly known ingredients.
Liquid acidic hard surface cleaning compositions having improved viscosity
The need for an acidic hard surface cleaning composition which provides further improvements in the maintenance of surface shine, especially on inclined hard surfaces, while also using less thickener is met by formulating the acidic hard surface cleaning composition using a combination of a surface modification polymer and sulfonate hydrotrope.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING BLEACH COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
There is provided a composition that contains a bleach component, and maintains a desired viscosity over a long period. A composition of the present invention comprises a carboxyl group-containing polymer composition (A) comprising a copolymer (a) of monomers including an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid (a-1) and a compound (a-2) having at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule; and a nonionic surfactant (b), the carboxyl group-containing polymer composition (A) having a bulk density of 0.20 g/mL or less; a bleach component (B); an alkalinity buffering agent (C); and water (D). The composition has a pH higher than 10.
Esterquat Compositions
Esterquat compositions are disclosed that comprise, based on the weight of the composition, 0% to about 70% by weight of a solvent, and about 30% to 100% by weight of a mixture comprising about 50% to about 80% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of esterquats and about 20% to about 50% by weight, based on the weight of the mixture, of mono- and diglycerides. The esterquat compositions can be prepared by the direct esterification of a natural oil with an alkanolamine, followed by quaternization in the presence of the solvent. The esterquat compositions can be formulated into hair care compositions that provide improved wet and dry combing properties.
System and method for distributing scented, color-coded, or color scented dilution ratios of disinfectants, disinfectant based cleaning concentrates and ready to use foaming and non foaming hard surface, soft surface and skin cleaning concentrates that are diluted into ready to use form products
A system and method for distributing color-coded dilution ratios of cleaning concentrates at different dilution ratios and flow rates. The system mixes a concentrated cleaning composition with different quantities of water to produce diluted concentrates. A plurality of separate dyes or scented dyes are added to the diluted concentrates, with each color of dye correlating to a unique diluted concentrate. This provides a visual indication of the dilution ratio of the diluted concentrate. A plurality of metering devices selectively dispense the dyed diluted concentrates at different dilution ratios and at multiple flow rates. The metering devices are labeled with identification markings, indicating dilution ratios and flow rates. The dilution ratio and the flow rate are selected based on the type of cleaning that is required, and the type of dispensing means used for cleaning. A plurality of lines carry the concentrated cleaning composition, water, dyes, and dyed diluted concentrate.
Compositions for maintaining clean surfaces and methods for making and using clean surface technology
Compositions and methods for making and using the compositions for maintaining clean surfaces are disclosed herein. A preferred composition for maintaining clean surfaces is an aqueous solution that comprises water, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, nitrous oxide, hydrogen and a hydrophobic substance. A preferred hydrophobic substance for this preferred composition is a water soluble powder of Polysilsesquioxane Steardimonium Chloride. A preferred method of making such a composition includes the steps of mixing the solid ingredientssilicon dioxide, stearic acid, and the hydrophobic substance, and then mixing the solid ingredients with water until the ingredients are preferably evenly distributed in the solution at preferably a PH of 0-5. A preferred method of using such a composition includes the steps of applying an even layer of the composition onto a surface and allowing the surface to dry.
FABRIC CONDITIONER
A method of in home preparation of a fabric conditioner, wherein an aqueous concentrated fabric conditioner comprising: a. 10 to 50 wt. % ester linked quaternary ammonium compound; and b. Non-ionic surfactant; is mixed with water to produce an aqueous fabric conditioner composition, wherein the ratio of non-ionic surfactant to fabric softening active is 1:10 to 1:40 by weight and the ratio of concentrated fabric conditioner composition to water is 1:20 to 1:1 by weight. A method of producing the concentrated aqueous fabric conditioner, said method comprising the step of: a. Mixing a fabric softening active and non-ionic surfactant to form a pre-mix at a temperature above 50 C.; b. Adding the premix to an aqueous composition comprising water.
