SURFACTANT COMPOSITION
A process for making a surfactant composition is disclosed. In the process, a mixture comprising a sugar alcohol and fatty is formed. The mixture contains less than 5% by weight of water based on the total weight of the mixture. The mixture is reacted with an alkylene oxide to make a surfactant composition containing an alkoxylated sugar alcohol fatty acid ester and a polyalkylene glycol fatty acid ester. A surfactant composition and use of the surfactant composition to separate an oil phase and/or an aqueous phase from an emulsion is also disclosed.
POWDER CONTAINING CRYSTALS COMPRISING INGREDIENTS ENCLOSED THEREIN
The present invention primarily relates to a method for producing a powder containing a plurality of capsules incorporated into crystals, wherein these capsules contain one or more ingredients. Further, the present invention relates to the respective powder, as well as product containing this powder, the use of the powder as well as methods for producing respective products and methods for perfuming substrates.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LIGHT-COLOURED DISALT
A process for preparing light-colored aqueous surfactant compositions containing 10% by weight to 60% by weight, based on the total composition, of one or more alpha-sulfo fatty acid disalts (A) of general formula (I),
R.sup.1CH(SO.sub.3M.sup.1)COOM.sup.2(I), in which radical R.sup.1 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms and radicals M.sup.1 and M.sup.2, independently, are selected from the group comprising H, Li, Na, K, Ca/2, Mg/2, ammonium, and alkanolamines, and water, in which fatty acids of the general formula (Ia),
R.sup.2CH.sub.2COOH(Ia) in which radical R.sup.2 is a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl radical having 6 to 18 carbon atoms, (i) are subjected to sulfonation with gaseous sulfur trioxide, (ii) the acidic sulfonation product is neutralized, and then (iii) is subjected to bleaching with hydrogen peroxide at a pH above 7 in a temperature range of 80 to 95 C. in the presence of 50 to 500 ppm, based on the total composition of a stabilizer selected from the group comprising magnesium oxide, magnesium salts, water glass, nitrilotriacetic acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, gluconic acid, and salts thereof.
Fabric softener active compositions
The present invention relates to fabric softener active compositions comprising a combination of a mixture of quarternary ester ammonium compounds and fatty solvents (a fatty acid ester, a fatty acid, a fatty alcohol and mixtures thereof) and methods of making and using the same. The fabric softener active compositions preferably comprise component (a), said component being a mixture of quarternary ester ammonium compounds obtained by esterification of a mixture of alkanolamines comprises at least a trialkanolamine and a monoalkyldialkanolamine; component (b), said component being a fatty acid ester or a mixture of fatty acid esters, wherein the component (b) content is in the range from 5 to 60% wt. based on the total weight of the fabric softener active composition; and a component (c), said component being a fatty acid or a mixture of fatty acids, wherein the component (c) content is in the range from 0 to 15% wt. based on the total weight of the fabric softener active composition. The invention also proposes fabric softener compositions, comprising the previously described active compositions, and methods of making and using the same.

ECO-FRIENDLY CLEANING AGENT FOR METAL MEMBER AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
Disclosed is a cleaning agent for a metal member that may include an amount of about 15 wt % to 30 wt % of an organic acid derived from a monosaccharide, or a salt thereof, an amount of about 0.8 wt % to 1.2 wt % of a chelating agent, an amount of about 0.2 wt % to 0.4 wt % of a surfactant and an amount of about 75 wt % to 85 wt % of a solvent, based on the total weight of the cleaning agent. The acid cleaning agent may be prepared using, as a main material, an organic acid mixture including potassium glucarate, thus exhibiting superior acid cleaning capability and minimizing the generation of offensive odors. The cleaning agent of the present invention may be eco-friendly because the working environment using the same is made comfortable.
