CLEANING COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to impregnated inorganic porous particles comprising a eutectic mixture of thymol and menthol. The invention also relates to powder compositions comprising said particles. The invention further relates to methods of cleaning surfaces using said particles and compositions.
FOAM CONTROL INGREDIENT FOR DETERGENT COMPOSITION
The present invention is in the field of fabric cleaning compositions; in particular powder detergent compositions having foaming and cleaning characteristics in the main wash, yet significant foam reduction during rinse. Accordingly the present inventors have investigated ways of improving the defoaming ingredient such that the defoaming ingredient has improving foam-subsiding effects in the rinse stage. However they found that incorporating a monoester of glycerol of unsaturated fatty acids in a cleaning composition has adverse effects on the perfume impact of the cleaning composition. The inventors have found that the disadvantages of the prior art can be overcome, if a monoester of glycerol and unsaturated fatty acid is sorbed by a porous carrier material having a specific pore size and pH ranges. The inventive defoaming ingredient did not masked and/or altered the perfume delivery of the detergent composition.
FABRIC CARE COMPOSITION
A fabric care composition including a plurality of particles, wherein each of the particles include a fabric care agent, water, a sugar alcohol polyol, and a modified starch. The modified starch can have a dextrose equivalent from 4 to 20. The fabric care active agent, said water, and said sugar alcohol polyol are dispersed in the modified starch.
Delivery systems for peroxide compounds and their applications
A peroxide delivery system is produced. The peroxide delivery system includes a dry powder that releases the peroxide quickly and completely when needed. The peroxide delivery system may be produced by combining a liquid peroxide or peroxide solution with an inorganic solid support that is inert to the peroxide and is capable of adsorbing large amounts of the liquid peroxide or peroxide solution while remaining dry to the touch. Methods of combining the inorganic solid support with the liquid peroxide or peroxide solution are disclosed. The peroxide delivery system can be formulated in preparations of powders, liquids, foams, sprays, gels, ointments, creams, sticks, or pastes that can be utilized in a variety of applications such as cleaning, stain removal and antiseptic products, for example.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MICROPARTICLES LADEN WITH A VOLATILE ORGANIC ACTIVE
The present invention relates to a process for producing microparticles laden with at least one active, wherein the microparticles are formed from a thermoplastic organic, polymeric material and in the unladen state, in their interior, have at least one cavity connected via pores to the surface of the microparticles, wherein (a) a composition of unladen microparticles are impregnated with a liquid comprising the active, whereby laden microparticles are obtained, which contain in the interior cavity the liquid, and (b) subjecting the laden microparticles to thermal treatment by passing a stream of free flowing laden microparticles in a carrier gas through a heated zone at a temperature of at least 20 K, in particular at least 40 K, e.g. 20 to 250 K especially 40 to 200 K above the softening temperature of the thermoplastic organic polymeric material, where the average residence time of the laden microparticles in the heated zone is not more than 60 s, in particular not more than 30 s, especially not more than 20 s or not more than 10 s, e.g. in the range of 0.1 to 60 s, in particular in the range of 0.1 to 30 s, more particularly in the range of 0.5 to 20 s and especially in the range of 1 to 10 s. The present invention further relates to compositions of microparticles filled with at least one active, in particular with at least volatile organic active, which is obtainable by a process of the invention, and to the use thereof, especially in a product selected from perfumes, washing and cleaning compositions, cosmetic compositions, personal care compositions, hygiene articles, foods, food supplements, fragrance dispensers and fragrances. The present invention further relates to products comprising an inventive composition of microparticles filled with at least one active, in particular with at least one volatile organic active, and to the use thereof, especially for controlled release of actives of low molecular weight and specifically for controlled release of aroma chemicals.
Relation to the manufacture of personal cleansing compositions
The invention relates to a method of making solid cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature using excess water and subjecting the emulsion to cooling and solidification, wherein the water content is reduced. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to the novel solid cleansing compositions formed therefrom.
Coated granules, use thereof, and washing and cleaning agents containing same
The present invention provides granules containing one or more bleaching catalysts selected from the group of manganese salts or manganese complexes and at least one binder selected from the group of acid organic compounds coated with 0.1 to 3% by weight, referring to the total amount of the granules, with a polyvinyl alcohol-containing coating, wherein the coating comprises at least 80% of polyvinyl alcohol or mixtures thereof, in relation to the total weight of the coating.
IMPROVEMENTS IN RELATION TO THE MANUFACTURE OF PERSONAL CLEANSING COMPOSITIONS
The invention relates to a method of making solid cleansing compositions which comprise a non-soap anionic surfactant, a carrier, an emulsifier and water. The method entails preparing an emulsion of the components at an elevated temperature using excess water and subjecting the emulsion to cooling and solidification, wherein the water content is reduced. The invention further relates to the emulsions and to the novel solid cleansing compositions formed therefrom.
Occult particles for use in granular laundry care compositions
This invention relates to non-bleeding, non-staining occult particles for use in granular or powdered laundry care compositions such as laundry detergents, laundry aids, and fabric care compositions. The occult particles are comprised of a clay carrier and a coloring agent and are characterized as being substantially indiscernible when contained in the laundry care composition.
Solid Perfume-Containing Composition
A solid particulate composition including, based on the total weight of the composition, a) 20 to 95 wt. % of at least one water-soluble carrier material selected from hydrous salts of which the water vapor partial pressure corresponds, at a specific temperature in the range from 30 to 100 C., to the H.sub.2O partial pressure of the saturated solution of salt; b) 0.1 to 20 wt. % fragrance; and c) 0.1 to 30 wt. % of at least one textile-care compound. The invention further relates to the use and a method for the preparation of a solid particulate composition.
