Heated cleaning articles using a calcium oxide and water heat generator
Cleaning articles including a heat engine incorporated therein. The cleaning article may include a substrate (e.g., a non-woven wipe) including one or more layers. The heat engine may be in the wipe or pad, and includes a reactive metal oxide which upon contact with water, reacts to produce heat. The cleaning article may thus produce water vapor and/or steam upon activation of the heat engine. A venting structure may be provided adjacent to or surrounding the heat engine that includes an impermeable material (e.g., impermeable to water and/or air or other gas), which includes one or more vents through the impermeable material. The venting structure directs water vapor and/or steam to a desired face of the cleaning article, away from the user. A heat barrier layer may insulate a user's hand from the generated heat, and/or a handle may be attachable to the pad.
QUATERNARY AMMONIUM CAPRYLYL GLYCOL DISINFECTANT WIPES
A disinfectant wipe and disinfectant composition which exhibits exceptional antimicrobial activities as a result of the synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium salts and 1,2-alkandiol is provided. The wipe is preimpregnated with a disinfectant composition which comprises a quaternary ammonium salt, a 1,2-alkanediol with 5-10 carbon atoms, a glycol ether, a surfactant, a pH regulating agent, and water, and optionally alcohol. A method of preparation and a process for disinfecting a surface with the wipe composition are also provided.
WATER-SOLUBLE CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a method for producing a container for washing and/or cleaning agents from a water-soluble material and to a container that is obtained in accordance with the method as contemplated herein.
Stain treatment and removal
A package for delivering a cleaning solution to a surface to be cleaned includes a sealed packet having a cleaning solution therein with at least a portion of an outer lower surface thereof having at least one weakened, frangible area that is adapted to rupture when a predetermined pressure is applied to an upper surface of the packet. The cleaning solution in the packet can be discharged through the frangible areas when the packet is positioned on a surface and the predetermined pressure is applied to the packet to rupture the packet.
Cleaning method
The invention provides a method for the cleaning of a soiled substrate, the method comprising treating the substrate with a non-polymeric solid particulate cleaning material and wash water, the treatment being carried out in an apparatus comprising a drum comprising perforated side walls and having a capacity of between 5 and 50 liters for each kg of fabric in the washload, wherein the solid particulate cleaning material comprises a multiplicity of non-polymeric particles at a particle to fabric addition level of 0.1:1-10:1 by mass, each of the particles being substantially cylindrical or spherical in shape, and wherein the drum comprising perforated side walls is rotated at a speed which generates G forces in the range of from 0.05 to 900 G. The non-polymeric particles may comprise particles of glass, silica, stone, wood, or any of a variety of metals or ceramic materials. Preferably the solid particulate cleaning material additionally comprises a multiplicity of polymeric particles each of which is substantially cylindrical or spherical in shape. Preferably, at least one detergent is employed in the cleaning process. The invention provides optimum cleaning performance as a result of improved mechanical interaction between substrate and cleaning media and is preferably used for the cleaning of textile fabrics. The method allows for significant reductions in the consumption of detergents, water and energy when compared with the conventional wet cleaning of textile fabrics, and also facilitates reduced washing-related textile fabric damage. The invention also envisages a cleaning composition comprising a solid particulate cleaning composition and at least one additional cleaning agent.
UNITARY NONWOVEN MATERIAL
Nonwoven materials having at least one layer comprising cellulose fibers are provided. The nonwoven materials comprise bonded natural cellulosic fibers having high capillary action. The nonwoven materials are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including absorbent products and pre-moistened cleaning materials with metered release of liquid.
DETERGENT COMPOSITION COMPRISING ENCAPSULATES AND DEPOSITION AID
Detergent compositions that include surfactant systems, encapsulates, and cationic deposition aid polymers. Methods of making and using such compositions.
POUCHES HAVING WATER-SOLUBLE FILMS MADE FROM POLYVINYL ALCOHOL POLYMER BLENDS, AND RELATED METHODS
Pouches that include a water-soluble film and a composition at least partially enclosed by the water-soluble film in at least one compartment, where the water-soluble film includes a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend. Methods of making and using such pouches and films.
CONTAINER SYSTEMS WITH WATER-SOLUBLE POUCHES
A container system including a closeable container with at least one pouch in an interior space of the container, where the pouch includes a water-soluble film including a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) resin blend, and a perfume and organic solvent containing household care composition at least partially enclosed in a compartment by the water-soluble film.
Drying textiles
The present invention provides a device (100,200) to improve the drying performance of a tumble dryer, comprising a substantially curved and three-dimensional body portion (102,202) and a heat reflective layer (104,204) disposed on an outwardly facing surface of the body portion. A method of manufacturing a device to improve the drying performance of a textile drying apparatus is also provided.
