Various embodiments include, for example, a memory-card holder including a one-piece, unitary tray formed entirely from a bio-degradable material. The tray has a cover portion and a bottom portion formed therein. At least one of the cover portion and the bottom portion has an indentation to accept a digital memory-card. The tray further includes a protrusion area on at least three sides projecting outward from and substantially parallel to the cover portion and the bottom portion. A hinge is integrally formed into the unitary tray and between the cover portion and the bottom portion. The hinge is arranged to allow the cover portion to fold over the bottom portion of the tray. A closure tab and an insertion slot are formed on distal, opposing ends of the tray and arranged to latch the cover portion and the bottom portion to one another. The structural layer is configured to surround at least a portion of the cushion layer. An electrical accessory for use with a portable electronic device and with a protective cover for the portable electronic device is provided. The electrical accessory includes a body, electrical circuitry, and an electrical connector. The body is configured to slidably attach to a back side surface of the protective cover to removably affix the electrical accessory to the protective cover. The electrical circuitry includes wireless communication circuitry configured to wirelessly exchange data with the portable electronic device when the electrical accessory is removably affixed to the protective cover. The electrical connector is affixed to the body of the electrical accessory and configured to removably connect to an external power source for receiving electrical power from the external power source. The cavity includes a first recess to receive a first electronic device and a second recess to receive a second electronic device. The case also includes a cover removably coupled to the cavity.

The electrical connector is positioned to electrically interconnect to an electrical port of the portable electronic device when the electrical accessory is affixed to the protective cover and when the portable electronic device is installed in the protective cover.
