Anaerobic digestion device based on self-sustained air flotation
An anaerobic digestion device based on self-sustained air flotation includes an anaerobic digestion tank unit, a self-sustained air flotation screening unit and a biogas measurement and collection unit. The self-sustained air flotation screening unit includes an air flotation screening part, a material sedimentation part, a reflux part and a three-phase separation part connected sequentially from bottom to top. A digested material in the anaerobic digestion tank unit is pumped into the air flotation screening part, overflows into the material sedimentation part, and then is raised to the reflux part. Gas passing through the three-phase separation part and gas produced in the anaerobic digestion tank unit enter the biogas measurement and collection unit to be measured and collected.
PLATELET PRODUCTION METHOD AND DEVICE
The present invention provides a method for producing a platelet comprising: (a) a step of culturing a megakaryocyte for at least 6 days in a platelet production medium in which a turbulent flow is generated; and (b) a step of injecting the medium comprising the megakaryocyte that has undergone step (a) into a predetermined platelet production device to expose the megakaryocyte to a laminar flow.
In vitro exposure system
Disclosed is an in vitro exposure system that may radiate a uniform field having a constant wavefront to an experimental cell container and expose each cell container to a same electromagnetic field.
Method for gas enrichment and simultaneously for displacement of a fluid, and system for controlling the cell environment on a corresponding multi-well cell culture plate
A method displacing a fluid and simultaneously gas enriching a liquid cell culture medium with a gas. The method includes injecting a controlled volume of a gas or gas mixture into a one chamber by using a gas flow controller, the injection taking place through a gas inlet into a volume of liquid. This injection produces bubbling and agitation of the volume of liquid; a build-up of gas or gas mixture due to buoyancy in a hermetic space formed by the volume of liquid and the chamber, and a pressure increase in the chamber until a sufficient controlled pressure is reached of less than or equal to 10 bar. This increase displaces the volume of liquid by a fluid outlet connecting the volume of liquid to the exterior of the chamber. Also provided are a device implementing the method and a cell culture system in a multi-well culture plate.
HEATING ASSEMBLY FOR A BIOREACTOR AND AN ASSOCIATED METHOD THEREOF
A heating assembly for a bioreactor is disclosed. The heating assembly includes a holder having a plurality of segments coupled to each other to define a unitary structure and a heating component coupled to at least one segment of the plurality of segments. The unitary structure includes a top end, a bottom end, and a side wall. The side wall extends between the top end and the bottom end and along a circumferential direction of the heating assembly to define a cavity. At least a portion of the unitary structure has a gradually varied perimeter along a direction perpendicular to a plane which intersects the side wall and is parallel to the top end and the bottom end.
Radial counterflow reactor with applied radiant energy
An improvement is described for the processing of biological material in a continuous stream by the application of radiant energy taken from the wavelengths from infrared to ultraviolet, and its absorption by a feedstock in a workspace of featuring controlled turbulence created by one or more counter-rotating disk impellers. The absorbed energy and the controlled turbulence patterns create a continuous process of productive change in a feed into the reactor, with separated light and heavy product output streams flowing both inward and outward from the axis in radial counterflow. The basic mechanism of processing can be applied to a wide range of feedstocks, from the promotion of the growth of algae to make biofuel or other forms of aquaculture, to a use in the controlled combustion of organic material to make biochar.
Reactor system
An apparatus is described which includes at least one reactor, at least one linear piston pump, the or each piston pump including a tube, a piston and an arm coupled to the piston, the or each piston pump arranged to inject feedstock to a respective reactor, a beam or plate coupled to the arm(s) of the piston pump(s) configured to linearly drive the piston(s) and a linear actuator for driving the beam or plate. The piston pump has a volume of at least 50 milliliters and an output port having a diameter of at least 5 mm.
