20230064079 · 2023-03-02 · ·

A pipette includes an end section, a first section, a second section and a third section aligned along a central axis of the pipette tip. The end section comprises an orifice for aspirating and dispensing a fluid. A first kink is formed in an inner surface of the pipette tip between the first section and the second section, such that an angle between the inner surface of the first section and the central axis is smaller than an angle between the inner surface of the second section and the central axis. A second kink is formed in the inner surface of the pipette tip between the second section and the third section, such that the angle between the inner surface of the second section and the central axis is smaller than an angle between the inner surface of the third section and the central axis.

Settling or settler devices for separating particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields. The devices include inclined sliders with an arcuate cross-section arranged in a space within a bioreactor. These devices are useful for separating small (millimeter or micron sized) particles from a bulk fluid with applications in numerous fields, such as biological (microbial, mammalian, plant, insect or algal) cell cultures, solid catalyst particle separation from a liquid or gas and wastewater treatment, organic and aqueous phase emulsion separations, or the like.

Differential Flow Micro-valve Sampling in Integrated Sensor Platform for Cell or Tissue Culture and Analysis
20230117156 · 2023-04-20 ·

Electrochemical sensing devices and methods of using thereof employs a set of one or more sensor-integrated sampling wells or containers that operates with a pressure differential micro-valve to move controlled volume of sampled fluid within a controlled cell-growing environment. The differential micro-valve can be integrated into an instrumented well having one or more sensors to provide a high-throughput smart well plate platform for use in automation operation in diagnostics and drug discovery.

Apparatuses, systems comprising the apparatuses, and methods of making and use the systems and apparatuses are described herein. These are useful for controlling one or more of growth on and separation of a meat product from an enclosed substrate. The apparatuses and systems are configured to receive fluid and grow the meat product and/or separate the meat product from the substrate in a scalable manner.

MICROORGANISM COLLECTION DEVICE

A microorganism collection device comprises: (a) a base, the base comprising (i) a reservoir comprising a bottom and a side wall extending up from the bottom, (ii) a culture medium within the reservoir, the culture medium disposed upon the bottom of the reservoir and comprising a top surface that is elevated from the bottom higher than the side wall of the reservoir, (iii) a first tab extending laterally outward relative to the reservoir; and (b) a lid comprising (i) an associated state where the lid is covering the culture medium and (ii) a dissociated state where the lid is separated from the base and not covering the culture medium.

Artificial intelligence application that identifies micro-organisms, matter and contaminates from water sources
20230061309 · 2023-03-02 ·

This new artificial intelligence application identifies micro-organisms, matter and contaminates from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors, streams and any other large bodies of water utilizing conveyor belts with and without embedded microscope slides, watertight containers, high definition lenses, drones, robots, artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. The AI application can be used below and above the surface of water. The AI command center utilizes a gorilla glass panel to manipulate by finger or hand to be viewed clearly by the human eye the matter, microbes and contaminates on the glass before and after they have been analyzed by the algorithms and servers.

BIOREACTOR INSERT AND BIOFILM SUPPORT, RELATED APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS

The disclosure relates to bioreactors, for example for biological treatment and, more specifically to bioreactor insert apparatus including biofilms and related methods. The bioreactor insert apparatus provides a means for circulation of reaction medium within the bioreactor, a biofilm support, and biological treatment of an inlet feed to die reactor/insert apparatus. The bioreactor insert apparatus has a high relative surface area for biofilm attachment and is capable of generating complex flow patterns and increasing treatment efficiency/biological conversion activity in a biologically-active reactor. The high surface area structure incorporates multiple biofilm support structures such as meshes at inlet and outlet portions of the structure. The biofilm support structures and biofilms thereon can increase overall reaction rate of the bioreactor and/or perform some solid/liquid separation in the treatment of the wastewater or other influent.

ISOLATION CHIP ASSEMBLY
20230160795 · 2023-05-25 ·

An isolation chip assembly includes an isolation chip (10), first oscillators (20), and second oscillators (30). The isolation chip (10) includes a sample reservoir (13), a first filtration membrane (14) and a second filtration membrane (16) at opposite sides of the sample reservoir (13) . The first oscillators (20) are mounted on the first filtration membrane (14) and the second filtration membrane (16), and can generate a first oscillation wave when operating. The second oscillators (30) are mounted on outer surfaces of the first chamber (15) and the second chamber (17), and can generate a second oscillation wave when operating. A frequency of the first oscillation wave is greater than a frequency of the second oscillation wave, and an amplitude of the first oscillation wave is less than an amplitude of the second oscillation wave.

Surface detection and picktool manipulator

A picktool manipulator device collects a specimen from a culture medium. In a first mode of operation, a picktool is allowed to move in an axial direction relative to support structure of the device. A detector may generate a signal in response to movement of the body in the axial direction so as to determine a height at which the picktool contacts the medium. The device may operate in the first mode when collecting a specimen from a culture medium. A second mode of operation constrains or precludes axial movement of the picktool. In some cases, the device may operate in the second mode when receiving a new picktool or discarding a used picktool.
