A cell culture vessel (1) for accommodating a cell or cell tissue therein includes: a frame part (11) which is provided so as to be located at positions that correspond to respective sides of a polyhedral shape; a window part (12) which is light-transmissive and which is provided so as to be located at positions that correspond to a respective plurality of faces out of faces of the polyhedral shape; and a shaft part (17) which extends, from any of vertices of the polyhedral shape, outward in a direction that is not parallel to any of lines normal to the faces of the polyhedral shape.
Colony contrast gathering
An imaging system and method for microbial growth detection, counting or identification. One colony may be contrasted in an image that is not optimal for another type of colony. The system and method provides contrast from all available material through space (spatial differences), time (differences appearing over time for a given capture condition) and color space transformation using image input information over time to assess whether microbial growth has occurred for a given sample.
BIOREACTOR FOR CELL PROCESSING
The present disclosure provides a bioreactor for cell processing. The bioreactor comprises a container including a base section comprising a sensor window chosen from a transparent sensor window or a translucent sensor window, a top section arranged opposite to the base section and comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, and a sidewall extending between the base section and the top section and defining an internal volume of the container adapted to hold a cell suspension. At least one optical element disposed on the sensor window within the internal volume, the at least one optical element adapted to emit a fluorescence signal in response to incident light, the fluorescence signal associated with one or more parameters of the cell suspension.
ORBITAL SHAKER
An orbital shaker device (1) for biotechnological and/or biomedical applications comprises a frame (10), a platform (15) for receiving biotechnological and/or biomedical containers (50), eccentric couplings (13, 14) for allowing an orbital movement of the platform (15) relative to the frame (10), counterweight units (17, 18) for balancing the orbital movement, and at least one motor (19) for driving the eccentric couplings (13, 14). The device comprises two eccentric couplings (13, 14) arranged near respective opposite edges (27, 28) of the platform (15), while each counterweight unit (17, 18) is arranged approximately in the plane of the combined center of gravity of the platform (15) and the containers (50). Furthermore, both eccentric couplings (13, 14) are driven by the motor (19) or motors, either directly or indirectly. In this way, an optimal vibration compensation is achieved while allowing an imaging unit (40) to be mounted underneath the platform (15).
DEVICE FOR DETERMINING AND MONITORING THE PHYSIOLOGICAL STATES OF MICROBIAL CULTURES IN EACH INDIVIDUAL MICROBIOREACTOR OF A MICROTITER PLATE
A device for determining and monitoring the physiological state of microbial cultures in each individual microbioreactor of a microtiter plate, wherein a gas space of each microbioreactor of the microtiter plate is accessible via an inlet opening and outlet opening, includes means for shaking the microtiter plate and a gas supply system suitable for purging the gas space of each microbioreactor with a stream of purge gas in a purging phase. A shut-off device is arranged directly on each microbioreactor for interrupting the stream of purge gas. The flow resistances in the gas supply system and the flow resistance of each microbioreactor are configured so that the stream of purge gas in the purging phase is substantially equal in all of the microbioreactors. The device includes a measuring device configured to detect the physiological state of the microbial culture in each individual microbioreactor.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR STERILIZING BIOREACTORS AND CULTURE MEDIA
Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for sterilization. In some variations, a method of sterilizing a bioreactor system may comprise circulating a sterilant in a bioreactor and an enclosed vessel in fluidic communication with the bioreactor. The enclosed vessel may comprise cell culture media. The sterilant may be circulated for a dwell time sufficient to sterilize at least one of the bioreactor, the vessel, and the cell culture media.
NANO-DROPLET PLATE
A low-cost method is provided for fabricating a nano-droplet plate with surface features having re-entrant (anvil-like) geometries capable of holding droplets of a precise, predetermined volume. Such structures are useful for a variety of applications, including cull culturing, high-throughput screening of therapeutics and as microwells.
Tissue processing apparatus, a filter and a method for processing tissue therefrom
A tissue processing apparatus, a filter and a method for processing tissue therefrom #! The problem to be solved is to provide a portable apparatus for processing harvested fat to form a good quality graft that does not clog syringes, and the problem is solved by providing an apparatus as in the present invention with a filter that is inclined to the base of the apparatus and comprises of plurality of elongated protrusion that are structured at an angle on the surface of the filter and blocks the fibres when the harvested fat moves on the inclined surface of the filter, thereby filtering the harvested fat and avoiding clogging of syringes.
Cell culture module, cell culture system and cell culture method
A cell culture module, a cell culture system and a cell culture method are provided. The cell culture module includes a casing, a first fixer, a second fixer and a sheet-shaped carrier member. The casing has a chamber and at least one inlet/outlet. The inlet/outlet communicates with the chamber. The first fixer is fixed to the casing and located in the chamber. The second fixer is disposed in the chamber and is movable relative to the first fixer. The sheet-shaped carrier member is formed by arranging a plurality of cell culture carriers, and two opposite ends of the sheet-shaped carrier member are respectively fixed to the first fixer and the second fixer. The sheet-shaped carrier member is in an open state or a folded state according to a variation in a distance between the first fixer and the second fixer due to a movement of the second fixer.
Tube-in-tube bubble column photobioreactor
Systems and methods are provided for growing algae and/or other microorganisms in a controlled environment while reducing or minimizing the amount of energy required for maintaining desired conditions in the growth medium. The systems can be based on a photobioreactor having a “tube-in-tube structure”, where an outer cylindrical tube contains a heat regulation fluid that surrounds one or more inner cylinders that contain microorganisms in growth media. The heat regulation fluid in the outer cylinder, as well as the outer cylinder itself, can assist with regulating the temperature of the growth media in the inner cylinder(s).
