FERMENTATION TANK FOR THE MULTIPLICATION OF MICROORGANISMS
There is described a fermentation tank for the multiplication of microorganisms, particularly a vertical fermentation tank comprising aeration and agitation elements with low cost and high efficiency. Particularly, a fermentation tank for the multiplication of microorganisms (100) comprising an external structure (10) of longitudinal axis (L) and an inner container (20) which receives a mixture to be fermented, the fermentation tank (100) comprising an aeration and agitation element (30) arranged in the inner container (20) collinear with the longitudinal axis (L), the aeration and agitation element (30) comprising internally a plurality of sets of fins (40), each set of fins (40) being arranged axially parallel to each other along the longitudinal axis (L) to provide aeration and agitation of the mixture to be fermented.
Culture instrument
A culturing device includes a microplate including a plurality of vessels, each of the vessels having a bottom surface having light transmittance and an opening at an upper portion, a lid having light transmittance, and an intermediate plate having light transmittance sandwiched between the lid and the microplate. The intermediate plate has a plurality of convex portions on a surface thereof facing the microplate and provided with a plurality of through holes corresponding to the convex portions that are disposed so that when the intermediate plate and the microplate are overlapped, each of the plurality of convex portions is inserted into each of the plurality of vessels and each of the plurality of through holes coincides with the opening of each of the plurality of vessels. The lid comes into contact with the intermediate plate so as to close the plurality of through holes provided in the intermediate plate.
Integrated two-phase anaerobic dry fermentation reactor based on biomimetic principle of rumen
An integrated two-phase anaerobic dry fermentation reactor based on a biomimetic principle of rumen includes a reactor body; wherein the reactor body includes a dry fermentation chamber, a secondary fermentation chamber, and a liquid storage chamber. The dry fermentation chamber is arranged at an upper portion of the reactor body. The liquid storage chamber is arranged at a bottom of the reactor body. The secondary fermentation chamber is arranged between the dry fermentation chamber and the liquid storage chamber in the reactor body. The dry fermentation chamber is connected to the secondary fermentation chamber by a porous structure.
METHODS AND ARTICLES FOR TESTING DISINFECTANT AND SANITIZER EFFICACY
Methods of evaluating the antimicrobial efficacy of a hard surface disinfectant or sanitizer and test articles are disclosed. An example method may include removing a preserved antimicrobial test article from a sealed container. The preserved antimicrobial test article may comprise a non-water soluble substrate and a thin microbial layer attached to the substrate comprising viable microbial material, a stabilizing mixture, and a residual water content of less than 5.0%. The method may also include contacting the preserved antimicrobial test article with a predetermined amount of the test substance without rehydrating the preserved microbial article and without detaching the layer comprising the viable microbial material from the substrate prior to contact with the test substance.
Lid for culture dish
An apparatus comprising a culture dish and a removable lid, wherein the culture dish comprises a main body having a side wall defining a reservoir region for receiving a quantity of liquid media, and the removable lid is arranged to cover the reservoir region during normal use, wherein the lid comprises a gas permeable material and includes an engagement portion formed of a resilient material adapted to cooperatively engage with the side wall of the main body of the culture dish so as to compress a part of the engagement portion of the removable lid against the side wall to form a vapour-tight seal for the reservoir region when the removable lid is coupled to the culture dish. The lid fitted to the culture dish enables a substantial portion of the culturing media to remain in the environment enclosed between the reservoir and the lid without use of a cover media to limit evaporation while allowing gaseous exchange therethrough.
RETENTION SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a Disposable Bioprocess System consisting of a Single-Use-Bioreactor, a Single-Use-Pump and a single-use micro-organism retention filter. Combined most suitable for cultivation of suspended micro-organisms in a liquid media at high micro-organism concentration in a perfusion mode continuous process for expression of biological material. The inlet port of the liquid Single-Use-Pump connects via a valve to the broth reservoir of the Single-Use-Bioreactor through a liquid conveying port. The outlet port of the liquid pumping Single-Use-Pump connects via a valve to a micro-organism retention filter. And a method for operating said sterile Disposable Bioprocess System in perfusion mode for continuously processing.
CELL CULTURE CONTAINER, AUTOMATIC CELL CULTURE APPARATUS, LIQUID CONTAINER, ROBOT HAND, AND ROBOT SYSTEM
A bottle includes a body, a cap mounted to a cap neck of the body. The cap has an outer peripheral portion which is provided with a protrusion. Around the cap, there is provided a position indicator indicating whether the cap is at a correctly closed position, based on the positional relationship between the protrusion and the position indicator.
Bioreactor with lid for easy access to incubation cavity
There is provided a bioreactor which is provided with a lid (13) that facilitates access to the incubation cavity. Specifically the end wall of the incubation cavity is constituted by the lid (13) so that removal of the cap renders the incubation cavity fully accessible.
Headspace Eliminating Microtiter Plate Lid
A microtiter plate assembly is disclosed that includes a base having a plurality of wells and a lid having a plurality of projections corresponding to the plurality of wells. Each projection contains a radial notch and a canted distal tip, providing bubble free sealing, reduced oxygen back-diffusion, and increased sensitivity even at small sample volumes.
Prepared plated media product
The present invention relates to systems and methods involving interconnected plate components, including bases, lids and covers, interconnected in a manner such that a continuous strip of each component is prepared. The continuous strips may be stored as rollstock in a reel style. The physical properties of each continuous strip allow the base, lid and/or cover to include means for positive control. In one embodiment, the continuous strip of bases is advanced and processed through an automated system with positive control, and remains in the form of a continuous strip until agar in the bases is cured, at which time the bases are singulated. When a lid is applied to a base using methods described herein, an airtight seal is formed improving the quality of culture media used in testing.
