CULTURE VESSEL, MEASUREMENT DEVICE, CULTURE METHOD, AND CULTURE DEVICE
The present invention provides a culture vessel and a measuring device for measuring a cell sheet thickness nondestructively during culturing. A culture vessel having a lid 4 has a float 8 installed in the interior and the float is structured so as to be uplifted by a culture medium in the culture vessel. Further, a cell sheet thickness measuring device having a sensor head 10 having a light-emitting element 10A and a light-receiving element 10B to detect a positional variation of the float in the vertical direction and a controller 11 to process a signal of the sensor head is configured.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A PHOTOSYNTHETIC CULTURE BY MEANS OF A PHOTO-BIOREACTOR AND AT LEAST ONE LIGHT DISTRIBUTOR
Disclosed is a photosynthetic culture production device including at least one photo-bioreactor chamber having a supply/discharge unit, and including: an aqueous liquid containing a photosynthetic culture; at least one unit for supplying and discharging fluids from the chamber interacting with a management system; at least one light distributor including at least one first wall arranged so as to receive the light at a proximal end, at least one second wall arranged so as to emit at least part of the received light, and a sealed cavity defined by the at least one first wall and the at least one second wall, part of the emitting wall being immersed in the aqueous liquid containing the photosynthetic culture; at least one fluid partially filling the sealed cavity; and a cover, limiting evaporation. The cover has at least one opening, keeping the at least one light distributor stationary in the chamber.
Apparatus for harvesting algae from open body of water
An apparatus for harvesting algae from an open body of water includes a boat having a pair of spaced apart parallel flotation members and a deck disposed on and connected to the members. The spaced apart members define an area therebetween forming a process channel. A separating mechanism disposed on the boat separates the process channel into a plurality of process channel sections arranged in series. The process channel sections are disposed intermediate the flotation members. Each of the process channel sections include a deflector plate, a scum beach, a scum trough, and diffused air piping. The diffused air piping is in fluid communication with a dissolved air flotation system.
DEVICE AND METHODS FOR FREE FLOATING MACROALGAE CULTIVATION OFFSHORE
The present invention provides novel devices, systems and methods for cultivating macroalgae in a waterbody, more particularly in the sea/offshore.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A BIOCHEMICAL PROCESS
The invention relates to a method and a system for in-situ monitoring of a biochemical process in a reactor comprising a vessel (5) intended to receive a liquid (7), said system comprising: a measuring device (9) intended to be inserted floating into said vessel 5, said measuring device (9) being instrumented with sensors configured to take measurements relating to the biochemical process at successive instants and to transmit, at said successive instants, observation data representing said measurements; and a control device (11) configured to control the regulation of the biochemical reactor (3) at said successive instants, according to said observation data received from the measuring device (9).
Biogas Plant for Fermenting Organic Materials and for Generating Biogas
The invention relates to a biogas plant for fermenting organic materials and for generating biogas, having a plurality of containers and/or tanks, which form at least one slurry store (7), at least one fermenter container (8) downstream of the slurry store (7), at least one post-fermenter container (9) downstream of the fermenter container (8) and/or at least one final storage container (10) downstream of the fermenter container (8). According to the invention it is provided that the entire functional biogas plant is, as a floating biogas plant, a component of a one-part or of a multi-part connected floating body.
METHOD FOR SACCHARIFYING CELLULOSE
A method for saccharifying cellulose includes introducing a cellulose-containing raw material and a reaction solution into a saccharification tank, introducing an enzyme into the reaction solution in the saccharification tank, disposing an adsorption sheet on the liquid surface of the reaction solution, and decomposing the cellulose with the enzyme by stirring the reaction solution to produce a saccharide. The adsorption sheet adsorbs an oil component released from the raw material to the liquid surface of the reaction solution during the production of the saccharide.
ANAEROBIC DIGESTION DEVICE BASED ON SELF-SUSTAINED AIR FLOTATION
An anaerobic digestion device based on self-sustained air flotation includes an anaerobic digestion tank unit, a self-sustained air flotation screening unit and a biogas measurement and collection unit. The self-sustained air flotation screening unit includes an air flotation screening part, a material sedimentation part, a reflux part and a three-phase separation part connected sequentially from bottom to top. A digested material in the anaerobic digestion tank unit is pumped into the air flotation screening part, overflows into the material sedimentation part, and then is raised to the reflux part. Gas passing through the three-phase separation part and gas produced in the anaerobic digestion tank unit enter the biogas measurement and collection unit to be measured and collected.
Systems and methods for cultivating algae
In one embodiment, an algae cultivation system includes a basin that contains a liquid and a photobioreactor at least partially immersed in the liquid of the basin, the photobioreactor comprising a closed container including multiple panels that together define an interior space in which algae can be cultivated, at least one of the panels being transparent, the photobioreactor further comprising an inflatable float associated with the container that can be filled with a gas to change one or both of the position and orientation of the container within the liquid.
ALGAE INCUBATOR
A system for algae incubation including a reactor cell adapted to grow algae, a support buoy secured to the reactor cell, and a floating vessel secured to the reactor cell.
