A bioreactor cleaning system for cleaning a bioreactor in a rail vehicle. A suction unit, a supply unit, an electronic control unit for actuating the suction unit and the supply unit, an acid tank, a collection tank for receiving a liquid suctioned out of the bioreactor, and a freshwater connection are provided. The bioreactor cleaning system comprises a metering unit which has acid canister connections, base canister connections, an acid metering device which can be connected to the acid canister connections and the acid tank, and a base metering device which can be connected to the base canister connections and the acid tank. Additionally, a mixer is provided in order to mix the different liquids.

There is disclosed a modular anaerobic digestion point-of-waste to renewable energy system. The system is directed to a modular and scalable anaerobic digestion system for point-of-waste use. The System includes a pretreatment process for removing inhibitory nutrients from a feedstock, an in-treatment process for providing clean renewable energy and a post-treatment process for further providing clean renewable energy for subsequent use. The System includes a leaching bed; a liquids tank; a mixing tank; an anaerobic digester reactor; a precipitation tank; a stripping tank; a hydrogen sulfide scrubber; a water remover; a gas bladder; a dewaterer; and a flare system.
Methods for gas filteration in fluid processing systems
A method for filtering a gas includes passing a gas into a compartment of a casing that includes a polymeric film, the casing having: a first sleeve having a first outlet opening, a first filter being at least partially disposed within the first sleeve so that gas passing through the first sleeve must pass through the first filter; and a second sleeve having an second outlet opening, a second filter being at least partially disposed within the second sleeve so that gas passing through the second sleeve must pass through the second filter, the second sleeve being closed so that the gas passing into the compartment of the casing passes through the first sleeve and the first filter and directly contacts at least a portion of the first sleeve comprised of the polymeric film but does not pass through the second sleeve. Opening the second sleeve when a predetermined condition is met so that the gas passes through the second sleeve and the second filter.

The invention discloses a bioreactor with a vessel defining an inner volume, agitation means and at least one addition tube, wherein a delivery orifice in the addition tube is located within the inner volume and a check valve is arranged in proximity of the delivery orifice for allowing flow of a fluid in the direction from the addition tube into the inner volume of the vessel and blocking flow in the reverse direction.

DEVICE FOR LIQUID PROCESSING IN CELL CULTURE PROCESS
The present disclosure relates to a device for liquid processing in the process of cell culture, comprises: a settling tank which is configured to store a cell culture fluid from a bioreactor; a communicating tube that allows the bioreactor to communicate with the settling tank; a first excretory tube for discharging a cell concentrate, which is connected to the settling tank; a second excretory tube for discharging a supernatant, which is connected to the settling tank; a pump; and a control unit. In such device, after the cell culture fluid is separated into the supernatant and the cell concentrate by the gravitational settling in the settling tank, the control unit is configured to control the pump to (a) return the supernatant to the bioreactor through the communicating tube and harvest the cell concentrate through the first excretory tube and/or (b) harvest the supernatant through the second excretory tube and return the cell concentrate to the bioreactor through the communicating tube.
VESSEL FOR CULTURING CELLS
Aspects of the invention relate to cell culture vessels and method for using the vessels to agitate and maintain cells in suspension. In some embodiments, the vessel has a body configured to hold a volume of liquid containing cells to be cultured, the vessel body having a deformable portion arranged to induce movement of the liquid sufficient to maintain the cells in suspension. In some embodiments, the deformable portion is in at least one of a base and sidewall of the vessel body. In some embodiments, the deformable portion is deformed according to a deformable pattern. In some embodiments, the deformable portion is deformed via a deformation plate having one or more movable members that contact the deformable portion.

A cell culture device (1) includes: a culture vessel (10 ) that accommodates a cell suspension containing cells and a culture medium; and a stirring device (30) that is provided at a bottom part of the culture vessel (10) to stir the cell suspension accommodated in the culture vessel (10). The stirring device (30) has a shaft part (32), and a rotating part (33) rotatable with the shaft part (32) as a rotation axis. The rotating part (33) has a hole part (36) into which the shaft part (32) is inserted, and a gap (37) of 100 μm or more is secured between an interior wall demarcating the hole part (36) and the shaft part (32). A closing part (38) that closes an end part of the gap (37) in an axial direction of the rotation axis is provided.
