Heat exchanger system with flexible bag
A bag assembly for use with a heat exchanger includes a flexible bag having of one or more sheets of polymeric material, the bag having a first end that bounds a first compartment and an opposing second end that bounds a second compartment, a support structure being disposed between the first compartment and the second compartment so that the first compartment is separated and isolated from the second compartment. A first inlet port, a first outlet port, and a first drain port are coupled with the flexible bag so as to communicate with the first compartment. A second inlet port, a second outlet port, and a second drain port are coupled with the flexible bag so as to communicate with the second compartment.
Method and apparatus for growing microbial cultures that require gaseous electron donors, electron acceptors, carbon sources, or other nutrients
Compositions and methods and apparatus for growth and maintenance of microorganisms and/or bioprocesses using one or more gases as electron donors, electron acceptors, carbon sources, or other nutrients, and for a bioprocess that converts hydrogen and carbon dioxide, or syngas, or producer gas into lipid products, bio-based oils, or other biochemical products.
INCUBATOR
An incubator which can uniformly maintain a temperature/humidity in a culture chamber and prevent dew condensation from occurring in the culture chamber is provided. Further, an incubator which raises an air pressure in a culture chamber higher than that of the external environment to maintain an aseptic environment and prevents water vapor to be supplied from adversely affecting the inner aseptic environment is provided.
An incubator includes a culture chamber including an insulated door and insulated wall, circulating means for circulating air in the culture chamber, temperature regulating means for regulating a temperature of the air in the culture chamber, and humidifying means for humidifying the air in the culture chamber. The humidifying means includes compressed gas generating means for generating a compressed gas, water supplying means for supplying water, a mixed gas-liquid regulator which regulates a mixed gas-liquid having compressed air and the water mixed therein, and a vaporizer which vaporizes the mixed gas-liquid to produce water vapor. Furthermore, the water vapor produced by the vaporizer can be directly supplied to the air circulated by the circulating means without passing through an air filter.
Apparatus for accelerating reproduction of odor from air-conditioner and method for the same
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method that can accelerate reproduction of odor from an air-conditioner by segmenting microorganisms, a temperature/humidity condition and nutrients for metabolism of the microorganisms as conditions for reproducing the odor from the air-conditioner and setting the segmented microorganisms, a temperature/humidity condition and nutrients for metabolism of the microorganisms according to an accelerated condition thereof.
Increased Homogeneity of Mycological Biopolymer Grown into Void Space
The method of growing a biopolymer material employs incubation of a growth media comprised of nutritive substrate and a fungus in containers that are placed in a closed incubation chamber with air flows passed over each container while the chamber is maintained with a predetermined environment of humidity, temperature, carbon dioxide and oxygen. The air flows may be directed parallel or perpendicularly to the surfaces of the growth media.
ANAEROBIC DIGESTION SYSTEM FOR PRODUCTION OF BIOGAS WITH A REDUCED HYDROGEN SULPHIDE CONTENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF BIOGAS WITH A REDUCED HYDROGEN SULPHIDE CONTENT IN AN ANAEROBIC DIGESTION SYSTEM
The application relates to an anaerobic digestion system for production of biogas with a reduced hydrogen sulphide content. The system comprises an airtight reactor vessel comprising: sludge comprising a surface layer and a volume underneath the surface layer comprising bio-matter and micro-organisms that are able to anaerobically digest the bio-matter, thereby producing biogas comprising hydrogen sulphide, a headspace above the surface layer of the sludge into which biogas migrates out of the sludge, a spraying system for spraying an aqueous nitrate containing solution in the headspace using a carrier gas stream to form a nitrate containing interphase layer between the surface layer of the sludge and the headspace, with the proviso that the reactor vessel does not comprise a membrane or fabric positioned in the headspace.
Automatic multi-tray and multi-plate bioreactor systems for adherent cultures
Described herein is an improved automatic bioreactor system utilizing a multi-tray or multi-plate cell culture vessel for cultivating adherent cells.
Module For Photobioreactor And Associated Photobioreactor
The present invention concerns a module for a photobioreactor suitable for being assembled to an identical adjacent module, comprising: a panel having a first face and a second face, opposite the first face, the first face delimiting, with the second face of the adjacent panel, a cavity suitable for containing a culture medium when the modules are assembled, the cavity (14) having a thickness of between 1 millimetre and 2 centimetres, and a gas injection device, capable of injecting gas bubbles into the culture medium contained in the cavity, such that the bubbles rise along the faces of the panels.
CELL TREATMENT APPARATUS
A cell treatment apparatus capable of treating cells in a cell culture vessel. The cell treatment apparatus (100) according to the present invention includes a first region (1), a second region (3), and a third region (5). The first region (1) and the second region (3) are placed in succession. The first region (1) is a cell treatment chamber for treating cells. The cell treatment chamber can be closed from the outside of the cell treatment chamber and includes a culture vessel placement portion for placing a cell culture vessel. The second region (3) includes a laser irradiation device capable of irradiating the cell culture vessel placed in the culture vessel placement portion with a laser. The third region (5) includes a control device that controls at least one device in the cell treatment apparatus (100) and a power supply device (52) that supplies electric power to at least one device in the cell treatment apparatus (100). The culture vessel placement portion is placed to be adjacent to the second region (3) in the cell treatment chamber. An adjacent portion to the second region (3) in the culture vessel placement portion is translucent.
