A second apparatus for dissociating cell colonies, may also be included in the systems or used in the methods, includes impact bumper(s) collidable with impact bracket(s) to transmit a dissociative force to a culture of cells.

Provided is a culture vessel for adherent cells that has a large culture portion surface area and ensures easily dissociating and recovering cells without consuming a medium or a dissociation solution more than necessary. The bag-shaped adherent cell culture vessel made of flexible packaging material includes a vessel body portion having a first vessel wall and a second vessel wall and one or more injecting/ejecting ports. The vessel body portion has an intermediate culture wall between the first vessel wall and the second vessel wall. A culture chamber is disposed in each of between the first vessel wall and the intermediate culture wall and between the second vessel wall and the intermediate culture wall, and a flow passage communicating between the respective culture chambers is disposed.

The embodiments according to the present disclosure provide a protective solution, a kit, and a method for isolating mitochondria. The kit includes an extraction tube, a protective solution, and a suction needle. The extraction tube is used to contain cells. The protective solution is used to mix with the cells in the extraction tube to form a mixture solution, and the osmolarity of the protective solution is greater than 0 and less than or equal to 220 mOsm/L. The suction needle is used to suck the mixed solution back and forth to facilitate the release of mitochondria from cells. This method and the protective solution may isolate mitochondria from cells with high efficiency in a simple and convenient way, and the isolated mitochondria have excellent good function.

A kit for sampling a cell culture bed of a bioreactor includes the sampler for sampling the cell culture bed with the releasably attached sample portion, along with a container adapted to detach the sample portion from the sampler. A method of obtaining a sample of a cell culture in a bed within a bioreactor includes positioning a sampler positioned at least partially in or adjacent to the bed to promote the growth of cells on a releasably attached portion of the sampler, withdrawing the sampler from the bioreactor, and detaching the portion of the sampler.

The invention relates to a microfluidic poration device having narrow channels slightly smaller than the width of a target cell, wherein the channels are lined with a plurality of nanospikes in a row extending down the middle of the channel, i.e. in a row parallel to the sides of the channel. In one embodiment, one channel may have 2 nanospikes (or 2 nanolancets). Thus, in particular embodiments, the invention provides microfluidic poration devices capable of simultaneously squeezing cells while piercing holes in their membranes for allowing foreign molecules into cells. The holes in porated cells spontaneously close after exiting the channels, thus entrapping the foreign molecules inside of the target cells. This porated cell population has approximately a 95% viability with greater than 50% containing at least one foreign molecule.
