Micro algae culturing device
Embodiments of the present invention provide an automatic micro algae culturing device and system for self-cleaning, continual automatic algae culturing and irradiant optimizing. The culturing device includes a photosynthesis tubular reactor for micro algae culturing, with transparent cleaning particles to scrape off any unwanted particles or components such as including and not limited to formation of biofilm. The tubular reactor has multiple double-walled glasses. Inner walls of the tubes in the tubular reactor may be coated with superhydrophobic coating to avoid bio film formation, or sticking of any hydro dirt or dust particles. Because the cleaning particles are transparent, they wont block any sunlight for photosynthesis in the tubular reactor.
MICROCHANNEL CELL CULTURE DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A microchannel cell culture device is disclosed. The microchannel cell culture device includes a well plate defining an array of tissue modeling environments. A cell culture system including the microchannel cell culture device is also disclosed. The cell culture system includes a plurality of optical sensors, a platform, and a light source. A method of high throughput screening cell biological activity with the microchannel cell culture device is disclosed. A method of measuring oxygen consumption rate of cells in the microchannel cell culture device is disclosed. A method of facilitating drug development with the microchannel cell culture device is also disclosed.
Method of Carrying Out a Bioreaction with Multiple Coupled Vessels
A method of carrying out a bioreaction in a multivessel bioreactor system may include flowing a culture medium at an initial flow rate through one or more fluidic paths between a master vessel and one or more slave vessels, detecting a first culture medium parameter value in the master vessel or the slave vessels, transmitting the first culture medium parameter value to a control system, determining an adjusted flow rate of the culture medium at the control system based on the first culture medium parameter value, and controlling a bidirectional fluid transfer device with the control system to adjust the flow rate of the culture medium through the one or more fluidic paths. The control system may adjust the flow rate of the culture medium to maintain a substantially uniform value of the first culture medium parameter value in the master vessel or the one or more slave vessels.
CELL CULTURE CASSETTES AND INCUBATOR
The invention relates to cassettes for culturing cells. The invention also relates to analytical and preparative incubators for housing the cassettes. The invention also relates to methods of using the cassettes, for example, to culture cells wherein the processes of feeding and passaging cells are automated.
Portable disposable re-usable culture device for rapid diagnosis of infectious agents
The present invention is directed to compositions, tools, methods and devices to culture microorganisms and, in particular, to compositions, tools, methods and devices for the detection of microorganisms in biological samples.
Bioreactor with multiple coupled vessels
A bioreactor system may include (a) two or more fluidically coupled vessels configured to collectively carry out a bioreaction; (b) one or more fluidic paths coupling the two or more vessels to one another, where the fluidic paths are configured to provide flow of culture medium between the two or more vessels; (c) one or more fluid transfer devices along at least some of the one or more fluidic paths; and (d) a control system. The control system may be configured to (i) read or receive values of one or more parameters characterizing the culture medium in one or more of the vessels, and (ii) use the values to determine an adjusted flow rate in at least one of the fluidic paths to maintain substantially uniform values of the one or more parameters in the culture medium from vessel-to-vessel among the two or more vessels.
BLOOD CIRCULATION FOR CULTURE GROWTH
Blood being circulated to mimic the environment it naturally inhabits increases growth of cultures including bacteria for analysis. The present disclosure presents examples of a device, method, computer-readable medium, and other techniques for simulating a natural environment for blood. The techniques may include a channel with a hydrophobic interior surface and a fluid mover to encourage continuous fluid flow through the channel. The techniques may further include a gas exchange opening of the channel that exposes a fluid to gas outside of the channel.
